FULL MOON IN LIBRA

Spectacular! Even though many could consider it an omen, or fearing the worst, whenever a major lunar eclipse casts shadows in our skies, unlike any other eclipse this will be the most beautiful site to see.  This is the first total lunar eclipse in almost 2 ½ years and even better, for the first time in a very long time it will be viewed by the entire North and South Americas.  I call this “our” special eclipse.  This eclipse will last for 78 to 80 minutes and it will naturally run its course from the pacific to eastern boarders of the United States.

This beautiful eclipse, which begins its transformation on the 14^th of April at 12:46 Am PST, will continue to move into phases until a Total eclipse is formed.  A total Eclipse usually occurs when the moon completely blocks the sun and it’s parallel to the earth shadow. The dark shadow covers the sun and the moon.  However, the spectacular thing about this eclipse is that it will be visible to almost everyone including Australia, the Pacific and the Americas.  How beautiful can it be? For astronomy, this is probably one the of the most beautiful sites next to shooting stars,  new comet’s ,or stars being developed, but to the human eye this is also graceful to watch.

Although every experience is unique and often we compare one to another, we can use our own familiarity to compare what it could be like.  Degree wise the last eclipse in Libra was very close to the one we felt October 14, 2004. This eclipse is at 25 degrees in Libra give or take the position of the orb while the one in October, 2004 was at 21 degrees depending also on its position.

The full moon in Libra will begin this eclipse at 12:42 am PST, 3:42 am EST and directly afterwards will become the total lunar eclipse.  Therefore, the name given to the first moon in April fits perfectly as a pink moon.  Love, change, balance, and equality; is it all or nothing? This is yet to be determined as things following this eclipse will set the stage to magnificent changes.

According to the farmer’s almanac the first full moon in April is usually referred to as a Pink moon, or the Grass Moon.  Often the reference of the Pink moon is due to the color of moss that covers the trees and grass against the shadow of the moon light. Additionally, the Green moon gives the encouraging nourishment to bring dull grass from the dreadful winter to green.

Since the eclipse is paired with the moon, there must be a very straight line between beliefs and understanding. Depending upon what ones world view is in the western culture, eclipses always bring chaos and sometimes this chaos can be difficult but it does not have to be bad.  We must keep in mind that this is a lunar eclipse (in the darkness) and wherever the lunar eclipse falls in a specific chart it affects the opposite houses. In natural terms, it will be the secondary area which will affect the crisis the most.

In October, 2004 we had a Solar Eclipse in Libra and shortly after we had lunar eclipse in Taurus. As you will see, it will be a similar situation 10 years later however, the eclipses are reverse.  Which means that  this time it is a lunar eclipse in Libra and a solar in Taurus.  Why is this so? And why does history repeat itself?  Oftentimes it has been discussed by ancient astronomers that if history does not repeat we cannot change the path we live.  For example, if we learn to ride a bike and we fall down, years later we try to ride the same bike and we fall down we can either feel the pain worse or brush it off because we know that pain (experience) is not so bad or it is tolerable.  This is the same in life.  And how we handle people and things in our lives, some of us could feel this already. Therefore, it is always tested forwards and backwards to make sure every lesson is learned at great length in order not to have it repeated.

This is re-consideration, or a test, of the last eclipse. Therefore, those people that are born 5 days before or after the following dates will feel this eclipse more than others. Remember to look back at what happened around April/ May, 2006 which is about to happen again.  So whatever is felt will last until the Spring of 3 years from now.  The intensity of this eclipse is guaranteed to make changes for all those that have Libra and Cardinal signs in their chart, especially those that are born on 10^th of any month which means 5 days before and after so from 5-15 of any month. Additionally, those that are born on the 24^th to the 29^th of the month will be affected.  To sum this down even further, birthdays Jan 9-13, Feb 9-13 & 23-26, March 9-13, April 9-15, May 9-15 & 24-31, June 9-15, 27, August 9-15 & 23-28, September 9-15 & 23-28, October 9-15, November 9-15 and 21-28 and lastly December 9-15.  Many of you will own your own actions by the fall of this year. Again, this does not have to be bad, it can be the most wonderful experience and you pay it forwards.

When the moon is full it usually indicates growth, emotions, and our hearts and memories as we plant the seeds of our emotions by confronting our deepest ones.  In 2012 the new moon started something new and we worked at it for 2 years and now here we are where the celestial energy is basically letting us know that we have learned our lessons and its time move forwards to the next stage of our lives.

Libra moon awakens our balance as Aries charges us with energy to create a better future for us.  Saturn is still in Scorpio however, moving backwards in time, which asks us important lessons: what have we learned from all that we have had, worked, and been? Giving us even deeper questions of what do we know about ourselves and how we handle our relationships with others. The idea of this full moon is to question what was created on the new moon on March 30, 2014. Was it deep, creative or was it so reckless and dangerous that it needed to happen?

Both Aries and Libra, being Cardinal signs, have very unique personalities. Aries works with fire and robust Libra uses sweetness and negotiation as passage way to collaboration.  They are, however, both determined, no matter how wrong they are they will get their way.  Libra looks at and analyzes everything, looking at all possibilities both good and bad.  Aries, on the other hand, just risks everything. There is too much for them to think about in their actions until they wonder why they even have to choose.

Just a few days before the eclipse Pluto, the planet of the underworld and ruler of Scorpio, is one of the most powerful planets and will be retrograding also until September. Hopefully tempers will not rise and with it joining Saturn in Scorpio, perhaps hard lessons will also be eased.  The lucky Sweet Jupiter will be there for us to bring us joy.

The pink moon or rather, a full moon in Libra, wants all of us to be in harmony and wait for the right moment to make any decision.  It is highly important right now to connect with your relationships including family, friends, and even partners. The most beneficial part is if your occupation is a lawyer, psychologist, criminologist, sociologist, and you have Libra anywhere in your chart, your career may soar as you bring the energy to light to build, and discover things.  Full moon in Libra always brings fairness with co-workers but be ready to face constructive criticism also.

As peaceful as this full moon is this just the energy’s way of asking all cardinal signs including Libra, Cancer, and Aries what have you done since 2012.  Many of you must remember all the eclipses that rocked our world it all began in 2012.  So many astrologers have written about the cardinal crosses that in the western world it seems so bleak and so scary, but in the Vedic world it is reformation.   If you run, what are you running from and where will you go?  So for now until 20^th of April let’s leave the worries of the Cardinal Cross behind and focus on the present and on today.

This beautiful pink moon brings us light and love but it could also bring endings to toxic relationships. Libra Moon values harmonious relationships. It behaves in a way to make sure that he/or she is loved and the love is kept. It’s a need to please the people you feel close to, and want to be nurtured with kindness, a charming manner, and with music and beautiful things. Libra Moon needs close friendship, partnership or marriage to feel nurtured and safe.  You may have need for peace, harmony and pleasant surroundings. In emotional situations, the Libra Moon tends to act very rationally and strives to make fair decisions.  Hating a fight, she may even finesse her way out of confrontation. People will have strong sensitivity to, and attraction for, others.  This comes from the Libran search for harmony and balance, for the Libra nature accentuates teamwork.  It’s a good time to form partnerships of all natures—friendships, marriages, and business.

Even though this moon is placed to bring blessings to relationships and any difficulties, the sun in Aries will bring separation in everyone.  It’s an echo of one in other people’s lives and how we, and others, foster it.  Whatever is good will be blessed and whatever is bad will have its punishment. Being the best you can be will be the ideal way to go. Concentrating on the needs of others will defiantly bring brownie points during this full moon emphasis.

This eclipse and the moon energy is so strong that many people will feel this pull as early as around the 2^nd or 3^rd of April while others may already be feeling it. Therefore, bring diverse diplomacy in your relationships.  Find a way to be independent yet supportive.  However, there may be some pressure between our time alone to introspect and others time wanting to be with us.  Take your time and if others don’t respect it, then this is the catalyst to see if the relationship is really worth the respect and honor.  But at the same time, making decisions to end a relationship, or harsh behavior, will not be the way to go unless this is what the best conclusion is.  If it is, it will NEVER come back at the same compassion it was when it began because the eclipse gives that much energy and initiative to never go back again.  Eclipse and full moon together is natural energy to end things.

Often, Libra moon and the eclipse open our eyes to look at things so clearly that it answers the question that we cannot carry other people’s burdens as they are too heavy.  This moon and the eclipse questions what is ours, what is theirs, what is ours not to fix, and what belongs to others.  It also questions individuality with support not to fix people or things. The pressure may be so much that finally those important things that should have been said will be said, and sometimes, honesty hurts but it needs to be done to let go with grace.  It’s best to look at self-accountability, self-reflection, how our actions hurt others, and to question why bad things happen to us? Perhaps we are so easy to judge others yet we can’t avoid looking at ourselves. When we do we accept our karma, but when we don’t chaos always happens.  Libra moon, along with the eclipse, is this reflection and eye opener.

Don’t over evaluate as emotions may get the best of us – be sensible.  Due to the volcanoes within our reactions control issues may not allow balance to be restored as it should. Therefore watching what you say to avoid heated arguments may come through alliance rather than silence or arguments.   Discuss needs and find the sacrifices which are needed to alter your own identity so that relationship can be honored.

The full moon brings with it energy to plant and harvest.  With the moon in Libra, there is a need to have a satisfying relationship with a loving partner in order to feel at concord spiritually. There is an urge to repeatedly assess feelings, seeking just the right equilibrium with others. There is also a sparkle for grandeur and fine arts which can be expressed in a significant way. Fostering others by treating them equitably and seeing their stunning potentials is the theme for this full moon.  There also could be a look toward the idealism of mother or a motherly figure to be the model of radiance, gentleness, allure and fairness.

As interesting as it can be when there is a full moon in Libra with Aries energy, it can be complimentary towards one effort which is to supplement each other’s goals and desires, however, tempers can rise if there is a misunderstanding in shared resources. There is a greater chance of being bold, passionate, and very adventurous.

Poonam, as they call it in Hindu scriptures and languages, is usually relationship linked, therefore people who are born on a full moon, and it does not matter what sign you are, will experience a higher impact than anyone else.  Often, when paired with eclipses, it brings out repressed emotions which are often activated with the energy that it holds.  Cardinal signs are naturally sensitive to their surroundings.  However, no matter what sign one is born under, this is something that has been brewing for so long that it could go both ways – either you finally tell someone how you really feel and it starts a romance of a lifetime or a sudden break up or argument comes from nowhere, bringing out things that were never discussed.  Therefore, 5 days before and 5 days after the eclipse is as crucial as the day of the full moon, thus if there is nothing nice to say then don’t say it at all. Otherwise, like the old saying goes, “you can never take back your words and apologies can bring forgiveness but never forgetfulness”.

Vedic readings have always incorporated astrology, perception, action, and reaction as an intertwining methodology to clarity and by all means what I am about to give to you is not a perfect science nor should be it considered as such.  This generalization is at its face value, where the eclipse and the full moon bring forth changes, but to have your own individual reading I would really recommend that you speak to an astrologer and see what it holds for you.  I am not an astrologer nor claim to be – I don’t have the analytical prospect to pursue it; the information is a mere generalization as a precaution so that this transition becomes as simple and transitional as possible.

Remember to really analyze where these astrological signs fall in your chart before maximizing or minimizing what could occur.  What is given to you is for warning and remedies to avoid chaos and bring peace during this difficult transit.

Aries & Taurus: With your enterprising techniques you always seem to get things done, but please be very cautious of your words, especially to your loved ones.  If you have once thought about marriage this is the time to discuss the outcome or make that commitment which you know is right to do.  However, there could be intense hidden pressure and it may be advisable to be cooperative and collaborative to save the relationship.  If you don’t, the words could cause many relationships to sever. Additionally, legal issues, if any, may not go in your favor because you did too much or said too much hastily.

Gemini: Such grace and fun, you’re always moving.  You do have this knack … you are the procrastinating one. This can be auspicious or lead to a breaking point, but either way it will be close to your heart.  You may finally decide that you want to bring someone new into your life or that old relationship is no longer benefiting you and you leave for good.  But your heart is like a child.  If it is not relationships it may be younger person who will bring out the child in you that you never thought you had and you will finally be alive with creativity and zeal.  Hooray for you Gemini, this is what you wanted or…

Cancer: Your heart is always in the right place and your home is where you always find comfort. But do you remember 2009? This lunar eclipse is as pivotal to you as it will be every Cardinal sign. Your number one priority is your home: whom you will live with, where you want to live, and who you want to have in your life as a family member.  Whether you decide to sever the ties with a family member or reconnect, your home is where your heart will remain. This eclipse will surely shake it up or bless it but it all depends upon how much it means to you.

Leo: My sweet Leo’s, oh I love you all so much. Everything always happens to you, but why? Well probably because you did not take care of something well enough. Or is it that you did not make yourself clear? Whatever the case, maybe it will affect everything you count on to function. If it is a car that gets you to and from work which you did not get fixed or that computer you need to go to school,  I guess being reckless and procrastinating did not help.  But then again, sometimes you just want everyone to be at peace but to what point? So it’s a little bit of a bumpy ride but don’t say I didn’t say so.

Virgo: My sweet, kind, loving Virgo’s, if I did not love them so much I would not have married one.  But you do have some habits – you aim to please.  However, sometimes we can’t buy what we want and when we want it.  This eclipse will make you realize what you want and I don’t mean love.  Remember, the Macy sale can wait … or can it? This eclipse will get you very busy thinking about how you will make your money, how you will spend your money, and what you want in the future.  If you want a big house with a white picket fence don’t you think that you might have to conserve just a little? Can sales wait for your dream? There is a song for your call money, money, money.

Libra: This is your eclipse as you have been through so many things, but your heart has always been in the right place.  This eclipse is all about you.  Who are you? What in the world are you wearing? Are you tired of listening to others or are you ready to be who you want to be and to what lengths will you go to get there? You are always self-aware of your actions but are you always accountable? If you decide to change your hair or your style just to be in the mode of changing – try to stay away from psychedelic colors will you? And I don’t think Flare pants are your style anyway.  Get ready for great changes, stand up for yourself and be exactly who you want to be.  Remember the old saying: you can please some people some of the time but not all the people all of the time.

Scorpio: Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways. Oh wait am I talking to myself? Remember dear Scorpio you are exactly who you are but are you ready? I mean really think about it. As a natural ability, you know your spirituality but why are you so afraid of being alone? You don’t need to be.  Go away to a retreat; hide in your own world and sometimes its ok to be lonely, but you are doing it to yourself you know.  When you disconnect yourself from people, you find your own natural talents of creativity and expression – you are breaking through everything that is destined for you.  But to be more in touch with the higher spirit, remember that the higher power always talks to you in silence.  Most likely, during the eclipse, you can’t be any more spiritual than you are and many people will need you because you will help this eclipse as the connection with you and the spiritual world will become so intense that it may overwhelm you. Don’t get scared, it is not to be used to just run away but it should be used to be more Devine.  You are given permission to be alone and more than that, you will love your connection with the higher power.  But please don’t become a yogi (nun) just yet unless you really want to.

Sagittarius: You do realize that you love people and you love to get out and do things.  You are awesome listeners and sometimes you are emotional sponges because you always want to make people happy and not to disappoint anyone, don’t you? But you also realize that sometimes you take on things that are not yours to have, hold, or fix, and when you can’t it’s so hard for you – truth always sets you free, doesn’t it? I believe your list of friends is about quality not really quantity though you like quantity too but too much of that takes all your energy and de-bunks you.  Many of you Saggys have taught me a word and if it was not for you I don’t what I would do but as I always say we must practice what we preach.  Don’t you hate it when people judge you?  So do you remember someone saying to you that you are the company you keep? Your reputation relies on the friendships you keep and your grace happens with you when you always do the honorable thing.  And remember that word I said? With others “whatever”! Say it over and over and over again.

Capricorn: You are such a straight shooter.  Sometimes you can be a little stubborn but you mean well in your heart.  But as I said, all Cardinal signs, including yourself, may go through some changes that may make you see life from a whole new prospective.  But you do have a habit of worrying way too much at times and your entire life depends on who you are in the world.  The eclipse always makes changes. Sometimes when things don’t work, and we keep working at it anyways even though we know it’s not going to work, we have to try harder and we can’t keep holding on to junk.  If your character and how you are viewed by others is important to you, remember that because of this eclipse, depending upon who or what it was meant to do, will highly depend on your identity.   I wish I could go into further explanation but it seems the changes you make are often hidden.  My best advice is that if it was humble and the only role you played in it was to volunteer your service then it will be recognized.  If, however, there was any kind of selfishness or self-reasoning for fame or recognition I can’t tell you how it will go.  Perhaps it may go exactly as you planned, perhaps not, only because this eclipse will change its course one way or the other.

Aquarius: And to this day I still can’t figure you out.  I do know you need to be in the public eye, you are very resolute, and often keep to yourself – but when you have something to say, my goodness you say it.  My only concern is you often live in a world of your own and you are happy with that world which is fine but you can’t make a home out of Lego’s and not expect it to fall down.  But this eclipse forces you to take risks again.  It also asks you very important questions: Have you learned all you wanted to learn? Do you know where you are going? Do you know what you are following? Do want to be more God like if so then are you practicing God like ways? You know that you don’t like being in one place for too long and its ok to run off to China to practice Buddhism but can you make it a round trip ticket because you might not come back and I might have to hunt you down?

Pisces: You are so spiritual at heart.  You know that it has been said God had the same birth sign as you. Another advantage is that everyone, and I mean everyone, has Pisces somewhere in there charts but you’re the closest to spirituality. Oh, and your psychic antennas are quite right (ok most of the time) nooo… all the time.  So this eclipse you will question why you were born, where you were born, perhaps even the reason why you were born but the problem is Karma – it’s time to pay the fiddler.  I don’t mean it in a spiritual way; I mean it in the materialistic world. It’s time to pay the debts off. There may be intense pressure of debts to be repaid or you may find out that you owed a debt you never paid off and you have very little time to do it.  Or perhaps you will feel that the other people’s money is not coming to you fast enough.  Look at this again, have we been there before?  I believe a couple of eclipses ago the same issues arose and I hope you had a chance to work that out then so that you don’t have to do it again.  But, if you had not done so, it’s here again for you to pay the Karma and be spiritual and humble while doing so. 

The interpretation which I have elaborated previously is a generalization though each experience, each chart, and each perception is individual in nature; the energy does apply in many senses.  Vedic readers are NOT astrologers and we do not claim to be astrologers.  We are the messengers to avoid trouble. Almost like one client called it a “GPS” but unlike a GPS, we can tell you about traffic and we can tell you what will happen if you go into it. We can also tell you why the traffic occurred, but we cannot enable you.

Eclipses are favored by Vedic Readers, not so much Vedic Astrologers, and perhaps not even Western astrologers depending upon their convictions.  Vedic readers consider them as an open window or an opportunity to consider, contemplate, reflect, getting rid of clutter, and being in touch with the higher self by connecting with our consciousness and the actions which cause others reaction.

We have a full moon every month and during this time the universal energy calls upon us to look at our oppositions.  This is especially when Aries and Libra moons ask many questions of us. Aries always calls into action to make something happen even if it is not the right thing to do but do something.  On the other side, Libra asks us to spend time by ourselves and we find solace in animals and things of beauty.

But Libra moon wants justice and bravery to bring forth freedom, creativity, and living in the moment. Moreover, Libra tests every relationship; questioning its solidarity, denials, repression, aggression, and conflicts while analyzing safety and peace. All Cardinal signs will be affected, not only by this moon, but by the eclipse; it is judgment day.  This day asks, is the heart, the soul, or is the truth the balance?  Things that were once ignored can no longer be ignored.  The passion that forces an action, many issues will occur not by force but by nature, brings new experiences which are greatly needed.  Whether finally letting go of something or someone that has been a heavy monkey on a shoulder, or a fresh new look to a relationship, for sure this new moon and eclipse will be wake-up processes and reckoning.

But not all eclipses or full moons, as I explained, have to be bad, they can also be time for miracles, awakenings, flexibility and a new perception.  The energy will be right to not let conflict bring us down but to allow many of us to take the time to listen and to be heard. It allows many different viewpoints and different interpretations to be able to make choices that are best for us.

This eclipse is very much relationship oriented.  Many relationships can break or be restructured.  During the lunar eclipse, and the full moon, it is always encouraged to let Goddess Luxmi or any spiritual energy enter your home with your arms wide open.  To do this, clean your home of clutter and create and ambience of pure scents of incense and candles.  Lighten your altar, and your work space, with stones such as jade, amethyst, and most of all, Aventurine if you can find them at your nearest new age store.  You don’t need much, just a small amount.

The Libra full moon represents energy that is beautiful, cordial, comfortable, impartial and devoted. However, the lunar eclipse fosters change, endings, and conflicts.  Therefore I suggest that three candles be purchased for this eclipse.

Libra moon: Yellow candle. Carve your name under the wick with a pen or a pencil or purchase a candle in a glass and write your name on a piece of paper and tape it to the bottom of the holder. Make sure you anoint the candle with lavender oil if it is a single solid candle or place a couple of drops around the base of the candle and place the candle in a dish so that it does not crack and recite psalm 26 every morning until October 15, 2014 when the moon enters Taurus. However, since this is an eclipse in Libra, I encourage that if time allows, continue this mantra and psalm for 6 months forwards.

Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras, achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. When it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. Mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. The mantra for Libra moon is:

 Om Shukrya Namaha

(Om Shoo-krah-yah Nahm-ah-ah)

This mantra produces the quality of friendship within oneself, including others.

The intention of this mantra is to smooth your path in life by helping you understand the lessons you have set for yourself. Through karma the negativity will surpass with every moon cycle. Remember to cross out the old affirmation even if there is a slightest change and create a new one. The perfect number for aspiration is 10.  This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle.  Remember, never make the affirmations beginning with “I balance”, it must be worded “I need balance in my life with friendship and love.”

Many people have asked the question how often they should have a reading done by a psychic or a tarot reader.  In my opinion, an in-depth reading should be done every moon cycle or when it is affecting you astrologically.  Additionally, relationship readings should be limited to once a month so that anxiety and urgency does not become the emanate energy instead of patience and faith.

Every moon cycle represents a change; it not only affects our external forces but our internal forces as well.  Of course, we all have burning questions every now and then and it may be necessary to have a reading done more often, but sometimes we have to let the universe take its course.

However, poonam (full moon) is energized by Cancerians therefore; we must respect the energy that it brings to us.  Full moons can be very nurturing, emotional, sensitive, and it is my suggestion that you purchase a pink candle either in a glass or a solid carve your name and anoint with also lavender oil or inspirational oil and chant psalm 70 until the next moon cycle which is April 27, 2014.

The full moon mantra is

“Om Shrim Chandrakia Namah”

Om, and salutation to the creative abundance that is the very form of the universe.

This Mantra opens the universal forces in your life and allows the righteous changes to occur. With every moon cycle, remember to cross out the old affirmation even if there is a slightest change and create new ones. The perfect number for aspiration is 10.  This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle.  Remember; never make the affirmations beginning with “I feel the resolute. I protect, save, nourish, assimilate all of the life’s emotions, have a desire to connect to the source of subconscious, and be reserved, quiet, and love without conditions.

However, the grand finale is the eclipse which means great changes and this can be very tough for many of us. Therefore, I recommend that for Christian practitioners, Psalm 16 is the most ideal of all psalms.  Also acquire a white candle either a solid or a glass anoint the candle or the glass bottom with myrrh and the mantra for the eclipse is:

Om Shree chitra Nakshtra Devataye Namaha

(Om Sh-ree Chit-ra Nak shri tra de va ta ye Na maha)

This is mantra is a dispeller of difficulties and will assist in making a full transition through the next 6 months for cardinal signs.

Please note that due to the Cardinal Grand Cross, I am recommending updates at the end of the month.  If you do not have cardinal signs in your chart, it is advisable to wait until the second eclipse on April 28 to get the most accurate reading possible.  Two readings are only encouraged for cardinal signs or those that are involved with cardinal people.  If you also had a reading done less than 3.5 weeks ago, I also recommend for you to wait because it could end up to be very negative or redundant.

As we move away from what could have been and should have been the heavens above give us a new start. We must prepare to understand that in 2014 -2015 we will have three total lunar eclipses. The celestial energy would never allow humans to not be able to breathe uneasy, therefore every storm gives us some guidelines or precautions, but it is up to us to embrace or avoid them.

 
The eclipses always come in pairs; when there is darkness there is light and when there is light there is darkness, and again history is repeating itself from October 2004. As we have moved past, or are at least trying to move away from the Total Lunar eclipse, red moon eclipse, or rose moon eclipse, whichever the name seems right (read about it here), we are moving into the light. Along with the new moon in Taurus, the beautiful celestial skies will open up for our first solar eclipse for 2014. No, it is not a total solar eclipse, it does not have grandeur, and some will not even see it. I believe the polar bears on Antarctica may see it, if there any bears there. There will be one country that may see some of this, such as Australia, but it is not as grand as the one we have already seen.

 
Even though it is not a spectacularly visible event like the one we had on the 15th/16th of April, it is just as important to our charts, visions and our world view. Therefore, every eclipse should be referred to as a magnificent evolution to the human psyche or evolution to our own spiritual transformation.

Vedic history used to claim that spiritual people (Pundits) who were Vedic astrologers, readers, psychics, and priests often used to be decapitated for not warning the people of their town of upcoming eclipses. As these were times, and often still are, to view the eclipses as dreadful events that impact every aspect of a human’s life. Even though many people don’t feel the impact in an instant, often these transformational changes happen gradually through the course of 6 to 8 months from the first eclipse to the next.

Eclipses can often bring political, economic and personal changes in one life. More often than not we have to look at every eclipse as the match that lights a fire but it does not mean the fire will continue burning. Often, we may have to light it again and again until the fire is steady and it warms us or something that needs to come to a comfortable level.

Vedic view and culture, unlike the western, often relies their predictions on the moon sign of the person while western practitioners rely on the sun sign of the person. Therefore, the April 28 eclipse is 14 degrees in Aries in the Vedic view and is at 8 degrees in Taurus according to Western. For the purposes of this information however, I will focus most of my points according to Western and abstract the Vedic viewpoints so that the best of both worlds combined can bring a broader spectrum to the ongoing changes and bring forth diversity to unite the message of both worlds.

The Annular Solar eclipse will begin its motion at 11:04 PST on the 28th of April and the moon will void the sky with a new moon at 11:14 PST which means that within 10 minutes we will have a solar eclipse. Retrospectively, at 2:04 am EST (Eclipse) & 2:14 am EST, the New moon in Taurus will occur on the 29th.

 
The new moon will be entering Taurus at 8 degrees depending upon the orb on April 29, 2014. We did have a similar event that brought vital changes to our lives, as history always repeats itself, to propel us to make the changes so that we do not keep repeating the same mistakes. In my last article on the total lunar eclipse (read about it here), I had mentioned that a similar event took place on October 14 & October 28, 2004 retrospectively, but eclipses were reversed. Therefore, when we learn to walk we normally crawl first, then we take baby steps but it is often harder to walk backwards because we are afraid we are going to hit something. Now that we have crawled and walked, we are going to walk backwards. But remember, we were taught to run as well so the lesson is now being repeated to see if we remember all the steps without thinking twice.

 
Scientifically, during the lunar eclipse, the earth’s shadow falls directly on the moon so it seems as though it is covered. Conversely, during the solar eclipse it is reversed where the moon now blocks the sun. The time during a solar eclipse is like a sandwich: imagine for a minute that the Earth and the Sun are the two pieces of bread and moon is the meat. Therefore, looking sideways, if the meat is large you can see it; the same things happen in the cosmos. Always remember, the solar eclipse only happens when there is a new moon. The last annular eclipse occurred around the same time last year May 08/09, 2013 which was a total solar eclipse. This eclipse is considered Annular, meaning that the meat in the sandwich is too small to see if it is just two pieces of bread or something is in it, therefore the moon was too small to cover the sun completely and its very far away from the earth to cast a shadow that a human eye can see without a telescope. This happens so fast that it can last as long as 12 minutes or it’s over in seconds.

Therefore, the new moon and the eclipse are in 10 minutes of each other. This does not mean we won’t feel it, it just means we won’t see it and those that do, according to the Vedic Culture, must go into mediation and ask for forgiveness and in the western culture wear protection. So why meditation? This is because Vedic culture believes that everything which happens in the cosmos is a gift of God and there are certain things that are not meant for humans to consume, view, or even touch because it is sacred.
It’s been known that in the Vedic culture those that have seen it often start feeling tingling in their skin like there are insects in their bodies and have to shower and meditate (wise or a myth? Something I won’t question). But always, an eclipse is idealized in both cultures as an omen because it brings change and change is difficult for humans. But change is NOT bad at all to a Vedic reader. Change means we are becoming more God like.

 
An eclipse often brings eye opening events that were dismissed or ignored but no longer can be. Eclipses also bring blessings to learn from but to a Vedic Reader it is the most auspicious event of any. There is big difference between Vedic readers, and astrologers. Astrologers use science and mathematics to predict events whereas Vedic readers use energy and vision to bring meditative factors for preventions and intervention.

As I write this blog I have not dove into the Grand Cardinal Cross. Many say “it is s a wait and see type of energy” but why the scare? This is a subject for Astrologers and many mediums to discover. I truly feel that there is nothing we cannot handle, but one thing is for sure; major events such as these, especially a cardinal cross, will only bring forth important lessons and room for growth. Vedic culture, however, does not recognize the grand cardinal cross as a major event because of the Ayanamsa. As I have stated, Astrology is based on scientific measurements combined with astronomy in the Western Culture whereas, in the Vedic culture there is a similar theme which also incorporates numerology.

Therefore, the Vedic views are based upon Ayamasa which is defined as a variance between the tropical, Sayana, or sidereal zodiac. For me, this is even too complicated as I am not a scientist or an astrologer. The only understanding which really makes any sense is the scientific methods in how predictions are made in an astrological way. Additionally, the predictions between western and Vedic is that Vedic has 24 years behind western alignment because it is based on the moon sign of a person rather than sun. And these squares have been colliding with each other 3-5 degrees since summer of 2012 in the Vedic view. Therefore, the best way to view the Grand Cardinal Cross is to historically note what occurs between April 20 through 24, 2014. Take a lot of notes, actually, I invite you to keep a journal of all the events small or large during those times and try to recall similarities of the past and do something new and different.

The new moon, especially paired with the solar eclipse, wakes us up and opens our eyes to new innovation, thoughts, ideas, and inspiration. It is not the time to try to work through relationship issues. Vedic culture brings forth a very volatile energy not to resist. It is time to walk away from things that serve absolutely no purpose and bring that garbage out of the closet; look at it, discard it, and realize that it is now time to buy new in replacement.

 
Solar eclipses bring light to our path where there was darkness and begin our own spiritual personal development with a new moon’s company. During a solar eclipse make a personal commitment to yourself to keep the promises that bring you closer to the Devine. This could mean something as simple as making solid plans, creating spiritual events and inviting friends, or creating a challenge for you to be closer to nature and slowing down. The energy can be so intense that all of a sudden the life that was once in synchronicity seems too fast to handle, however, we learn to set priorities. There is no reason to fall, rather, deadlines can be met in an intellectual manner and being in a crisis mode is not going to make things go any faster.

This however, is a beautiful new moon with blessings of the solar energy; New moon is influential in many ways. Frequently, it is a time of optimism and desires; hence it is also a time to assess if your desires are collectively possible. Examining the values of wants, making sure they have no bias and selfness and if so, they will be granted. At the same time, there is a high chance that there will be misunderstanding between ones wishes and hungers. Understanding the needs will always take priority over the wants through this new moon.

The effects of this eclipse and the moon can be felt as early as 5 days before (April 23, 2014). The awkwardness of the energy of the eclipse will be felt by everyone; however, the intensity of the eclipse depends upon the house that the eclipse falls in your astrological chart. Every eclipse has a momentous demeanor on uprising in our lives for at least 6 months; therefore, early born fixed signs or those that have influential planets at early degrees will be affect especially (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). But also those that have planets in fixed signs will also be affected. Taurus moon allows ample influence to commit to personal aims, which will revolve themselves around security and serenity. The enthusiasm is enough to make accurate spur-of-the-moment assessments while following your awareness. This is a time to act from the heart without bias and selfness. Trusting the process will give the result that is needed to live for the moment; to be the unique energy that belongs with the stars and heaven.

The eclipse does not have to be disruptive as many will claim; eclipses can bring advancements in one’s life allowing personal inventory to make improvements to immovability. It is a time for development; gasp facts, acquire information of the spiritual, and get wise information from people. Let your breath out for the importance of sustainability and stability. If your job or work was done with hard labor and precision then definitely the heavens will support you, however, if it was revolving around just getting by then the angle of the eclipse will show you the direction you’re lacking to be successful.

This eclipse will be unique in its own way. It is a fresh start for many while for others it is an eye opener. Please note, I am not an astrologer and these are general tendencies that will affect world views and perceptions of many depending upon how well it is handled. The general tendencies will be chronologically listed by the sign which it will affect. Both Lunar and Solar eclipse predictions should be combined to make a map of what is to occur in one’s life over the next 6 months, including cautions. Remember that the lunar ends by our action and solar begins with our reaction. Since the new moon is in Taurus we will begin with Taurus.

However, before I elaborate on the general tendencies remember that Vedic reading is not a scientific study or based upon calculation; it is based upon metaphysical tendencies beyond the prediction of astrology. As you will notice in the general tendencies you will see the western astrological sign (Zodiac Sun sign) which is based on the position of the sun at the time of birth. This includes physical, personality, state of thinking, and other characteristics. These charts are created scientifically on a circular path and move 30 degrees in segments as it defines a person. I call this the Lion Kings song “circle of life” because each sign represents an animal of a species, except for a Gemini (this one has no real artifact associated with it) maybe because Gemini’s continue to evolve … perhaps and perhaps not. This is not, again, something that I am an expert in but I explain it as I have been taught.

Whereas, the Vedic Culture (mostly Hindu practitioners) calls astrological signs Rashi, and the Rashi is based upon the orbit of moon. Unlike western astrology, it builds the characteristics of a person based on orbital sun. Vedic astrology makes the moon its preference. It even goes as far as naming the children by various symbols of their Rashi. Many Hindu are so involved in areas of Vedic astrology that they base the time and day of their marriage, businesses and even names of their children based on the convictions of Vedic astrology. Nevertheless, whether it is a zodiac or rashi ,their sciences do believe that the planets movement and the persons birth does have an effect on what a person will do and they are 30 degrees in segments. Not only is each house represented by a specific sign and both ideologies agree that the first house is the self and it belongs to Aries; only the name has changed to Mesha (Vedic Rashi).

Both Vedic and western astrology is very unique, scientifically driven, and to understand them it involves deep study and practice. Often Vedic astrologers are also called Pandits (Priest) and I feel that Astrologers should also be called a similar name such as a (Guide). The only difference is that Pandits can perform certain Hindu rituals and understand which deity, stone, and mantras should be incorporated in one’s life to lessen the pain. Whereas, western astrologers can do this also but have to be very careful due to so many religious beliefs. Timing is extremely crucial to both practitioners. Thus I have included both Rashi and Zodia signs because I do believe the best of both worlds is to embrace diversity and unification.

Taurus (Vrishabha Rashi): You are most definitely a go getter and often times as stubborn as Aries but this eclipse will be a deep cleansing or a deep awakening. Often times when it is a new moon, and a solar eclipse, it usually awakens us to new possibilities; especially for you. It is all about you and your journey through life and how you will define yourself again and recreate. You will really be concentrating on what your goals are, what you are capable of doing, and how you will contribute to your own world which is called life. This deep journey could take you back to where you came from, how you grew up, and how you had to grow up. It is now time to look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself how you are being viewed by your approach to life and how it affects others by the way of your character and capabilities. Leo (Simha Rashi): Home has always been your heart; your mother is dear to you, as well as your family. But you are now growing up and it’s moving so fast with some people are leaving your life while others are staying. This solar eclipse looks at you, where you are in society, and who you are becoming. Don’t be surprised if you are asked to speak on behalf of the community or a cause. This eclipse also looks at where are working and what kind of career you want to pursue. It is all about your social status and how you fit into certain groups, but perhaps your father may play a larger role in your life this time around than ever before. But it is where Shani is, where difficult lessons and hard work brings you rewards. Scorpio (Vrishchika Rashi): Often times you are such mysteries that no one can figure you out. Not to worry, this solar eclipse also brings its presence in your world. Perhaps this eclipse may be difficult for you since it looks at cooperative partnerships as a whole. Collaboration, cooperation, and partnerships in work, love, and fully collaborated creativity is the matter of success for you. It will question how you will define yourself as member of a larger society. Partnerships have very different forms between marriages, business, agreements, and even groups at times. This eclipse questions the partnership as every tension teaches us a very important lesson of the dark side. At its worst your friend could turn into your enemy and your enemy into your friend but on a larger scale. It all depends upon how the difficulty and collaboration is implemented. Aquarius (Kumbha Rashi): My dearest Aquarius did you all of a sudden go to, or make a planned visit to, the hospital? Well perhaps it was Gods way of letting you know you need some time down time. This eclipse has something in store just for you. You are now going to be looking at where you call home. You are about to lay down deep roots and find a place you call home and you will say to yourself it is home. It is now time to get grounded physically, psychologically, and spiritually, making your home a sanctuary of a lifetime. You will be looking all around you and will see what is real and how you will be with people or this home in your life. This eclipse will be where a mother figure will play an important role in your life and you may nurture or be nurtured. Now you are home … and you may have to make a decision whether you want to go off in your la la land or be home where you belong.

Aries (Mesha Rashi): This eclipse will trigger how you make your money and what you have. It’s about your personal finances and creating financial stability to be able to look at what defines you. But it will also question the way you make your money; does it really give you the notion that it will result in the recognition or love you need? Can you really buy love? Old debt will be part of the issue here. Questions will be raised on whether you’re budgeting your money or are you investing well enough for your future. Perhaps you will get a better job where you make a lot of money or you may have to give up your job or will be forced to leave; either way it will set you free. Capricorn (Makra Rashi): This eclipse sits in the matters of the heart. It’s about hopes and things that fulfill our pleasure. It’s a childlike eclipse, it will bring you back to what you felt that was creative, and it is also about our children or children in general. This risk here is risk, which is life; listen to your gut with the greatest hope and healing. This eclipse is all about the family, how we see ourselves within our family, and what risks are we taking for the purpose of our family. Life is about not just telling people you love them but showing them. Life is also not just about a new venture but knowing that new venture will turn out right. Cancer (Karka Rashi): Your friends are dear to you but are they worthy of your love, or is it that you don’t have the same common ground anymore? This eclipse will question every friend you have and if these friendships have been spiritual. Not only is it about your friendship, but it is about where you are headed (destiny). Friendships may be lost but new spirituality and new spiritual friends will come.

 
Libra (Tula Rashi): This eclipse really triggers you; it’s about deaths and rebirth. It could mean one part of a relationship may end to create newer and greater ones, a career change, or a rebirth of a maximum kind. It is also about support of all kinds. Joint resources and budgeting are a part of this change. If support does not change we don’t evolve as people. Through this transformation there is a deeper question of the soul and past lives. Evolution occurs in the areas of healing, interaction, state of mind, changes, and secrets. These are all a part of our relationships. It is about being dead honest and being that effective and responsible person who brings richness to groups, humanity and even a company. But most of all, how we are in society and our conviction will set the ground work for stability. ***Note*** I am considered as a Tula Rashi only because I was born on a new moon on the 24th day of October which brings in the UTC time of being born on the 23rd of October. Therefore, I’m not as much of a Scorpio (4 planets in Scorpio) in the Western culture but in the Vedic Tula. Often, when a person is born on the new moon, or a full moon, it greatly affects their personality and character. It is a time, or ship, which is sailing into areas of discovery, knowledge, ideals, and ethics. There may even be enough energy left over to understand spirituality. Gemini (Mithuna Rashi): Even though you may not understand the nature of this eclipse it surely will bring some major revelation to you. Everything you do is a factor of Karma and how one deals with difficult and positive karma; making sense out of it determinedly or passively. It will most likely give the answers to why you were born and how you are maturing through the things that have been molding you, but it is also difficult. Often we begin to find our answers through charitable work to learn about how we transcended. It is about learning the karmic lessons of forgiving people, bringing some difficult closures in a most spiritual way for your own growth. However, be careful that you do not spend time in hospitals and find an enemy which you never thought you have; it is about feeling restricted. Because of this karma there may be a tendency that you are taking a spiritual path through luck and confusion. Your gift is being a twin, therefore, one minute you are a flower and the next time you are a cactus. Sagittarius (Dhanush Rashi): You work so hard but sometimes you work yourself and get nothing in return. Sometimes you work so much that you get sick both mentally and physically. This eclipse is questioning what affect your work has on you. But more meaningful is the responsibility to see if our work bring personal growth and also if our work is fully being realized. If not, be careful as there may be a crisis of health which could get the best of you; affecting how much you work and how fast you heal in order to return. You are thinking so much about responsibilities, and worrying if you have done everything, that you will not experience the simple things in life such as breathing the air and taking time out for yourself. Sometimes it is ok to take care of ourselves and let others worry for themselves. You may have difficulty expressing yourself to people and may even be afraid, or get worried, that you will say the wrong thing at the wrong time. The combination of this eclipse is all about what you say and what you don’t, what you have done and what you should have done. Especially, how it affects how people view you; the more you say you may be afraid its misunderstood and more you don’t you may feel you should have. If you keep thinking like this you may make yourself ill.

Certainly the grand cardinal cross is making an impact on many of us, especially Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Capricorn and Libra) and as I stated it is a wait, watch, and see perception by many. The cardinal cross will create disharmony, confusion, and it carries very heavy responsibilities. Though many of you will not see the effects of all this probably until June 2014, think of this eclipse as leap into potentials of transformation, cosmic truth, spiritual enlightenment and the most unique way of fulfilling self-prophesy. I wish there were words to describe the grand cardinal cross but understand that in the end you will be taught unconditional love and make a quantum leap. So I commend all cardinal signs (Cancer, Capricorn, Aries and Libra) for your strength, love, spirituality, and your equality. Thus, Cardinal signs general tendencies will change you from whom you were to what you are becoming.

Along with the solar eclipse the heightened new moon will bring a new beginning to set out a passage of new projects and endeavors. The energy is just in the right place to bring growth, development and creating a physical world which one calls their own. The restless will for the impulse to take action and begin something new, be it a small change in the way you approach your daily routine, or a whole new path on your journey through life, will dominate. The energy is right for making spur-of-the-moment moves and following your instincts. This is the time to act from your heart and trust. Know that the Cosmos will support you as long as your intentions are true.

These are definitely general tendencies not to be taken as a perfect science or an astrological reading. The energy between the moon and eclipse may cause the need to continually express feelings. We may arrive at a quick logical solution for any emotional problem – and will jump right in to provide a helpful opinion. Emotional feelings are not consistent and often switch between on and off. This could make people appear fickle or two-sided, but is it you or them. Be open-minded. The flip side of this energy may be that the urges of being super friendly in communication and a need to stay in touch with your mother or a female guardian becomes a must.

The mixture of what is concrete, mystical, and what is known will encourage self- consciousness to make life much calmer. The focus to gather and advance while increasing personal and material issues will be welcomed with great rewards at this time. The spectacle of the last full moon and the lunar eclipse, a little before and during, gave many the ground effort needed to express what they feel. The way it was said and how it was said had previously been the attention and now through the full moon there was a need to let it out. Now the new moon ushers the new element. This does not mean that the forcefulness and hostility will continue but whatever was said, or needed to be said, is let out and it is time to learn the consequences of those lessons and move ahead.

 
The Moon in Taurus ushers in a time of forethought and common sense. There is a feel of purity and constancy. A good time to continue working on, or finish, projects which were started and never surfaced. This type of shaping may cause people to be to be tenacious and unwilling to negotiate. Extra care is needed to avoid self-indulgence and unnecessary worries to secure material belongings.

The eclipse can be a very problematic time even when things are flawless. Appreciate the gifts that have been granted upon you by the cosmos. Namaste the name of the sun, grasp the problems, and ask for understanding when hindrances have astounded, with humility.

A few days prior to the New Moon, known as the DARK MOON, vitalities are at their lowest ebb, laying the groundwork for the new cycle to begin. Due to the nature of the eclipse, I highly recommend that you clean out the clutter of anything that was not dealt with during the lunar eclipse and finish projects which you began. Even minor tasks as cleaning out junk mail in your in box will make a difference; for everything that gets discarded there will be room for something new to come to you.

On the day of the eclipse it is recommended you take a new moon spiritual bath, as well as decorate your home with fresh white and yellow flowers, which will allow positivity and new blessings to your home letting every essence of spirituality into your home.

Along with the lunar eclipse mantras, I also recommend three additional mantras and spiritual work until the next eclipse in October 2014.

Solar energy is marginal, defensive, remorseful, and vigorous – resonated and articulated from within our life force. This eclipse is particularly impartial and purpose oriented, and our ideals and resolve can be enhanced and intensified. We begin to deeply consider our influences in the world, and the full expression of our humanity. Therefore, I also suggest that you purchase a Yellow candle, carve your name on it, smear it with sandalwood or frankincense oil, and chant the following chant: “”I ask to find the inner light of my creativity”. “I wish for the universe to help me achieve the recognition that I desire.” “I pray that I may find the strength to take chances with my creativity”.

The Sanskrit mantras can be difficult to pronounce but are a powerful source of energy on levels of sounds through us and the creator. For the Solar Eclipse, it is suggested that the mantra of Surya be chanted every morning and every night for the entire transit (6 months).

Om Surya Namaha

(Om Sur-y-a Na-ma-ha)

The moon in Taurus represents a serene, practical, corporeal, lenient, and determined tendency which means the use of everyday senses is the best substitute through this new moon energy. The splendid sparkle of this energy calls for more grounded character and to be tuned into the earth. Through relationships between earth and humans there is a gift of seeking new ways to have more confidence and solidity in our lives between nature and nurture. The new moon energy encourages an emphasis on body, mind and soul renovations.

Remember the 12 desires. Don’t forget to cross the old ones and make new ones. Don’t forget to manifest matters concerning money-oriented things at this time. And most of all, don’t forget to light a white candle that day; carve your name on the candle, anoint the candle with Frankincense oil, and chant Psalm 65 three times.

For the practicing Hindus it is advisable to fast during the eclipse. Pooja is highly encouraged during the eclipse time for prayers are heard louder during that time; 3 poojas are recommended, Rahu, Katu and Surya. This mantra is also difficult to pronounce for the non-practitioners. But saying it slowly greatly increases the chances of proper pronunciation

Aum Hreem Hleem Surya Namaha

(A-um Her-eem hel-um –sur-ya-Na-ma-ha)

You will notice that this mantra is similar to the first one but hleem is more pronounced in this mantra and in poojas this will be a great help.

For Western practitioners, the first two rituals would cover all that is needed, along with merging the lunar eclipse recites and recommendations. All these are recommended for the next 6 months, especially for those Cardinal and Fixed signs or those that have cardinal or fixed signs in their charts.

On May 14, 2014, at approximately 3:16pm EST & 12:16 PST, the sky will light up with the most magnificent light of the Full moon in Scorpio with a Taurus Axis at 23 degrees depending upon the orb. Many will see this moon probably begin to form on the 13th.

Not only is it a full moon but wonderfulness of the Wesak Moon in Buddhism it is Bhudah’s birthday he was reborn on a full moon in Taurus. This moon will be a spiritual blessing all over the world. It will bring forth energy and spirituality to bring aspiration; beauty and faith through concentration through enlighten to purify ourselves to become one with the world around you.

“Teach this triple truth to all. A generous heart, kind speech and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity” (Buddha).

Along with the Wesak moon, this moon can also be referred to as a flower moon, this the time of the year when flowers are at its peak and the presence of beauty of nature surrounds us as we become reawaken to the simple pleasures of life.

But also during this transition mercury will oppose Saturn this is not all that bad but rather a positive transit. It will be a assisting energy that will in projects that are tedious but the focus of accuracy may be out of balance that it’s not as clear. There may be minor setback that may cause pauses, and slow a person down to finish the project/s very patiently and maliciously. But like the sign of Budhha (mercury) communication may not be its best. Instead of listening there may be tendency to give people advise before listening stubbornness, worries, doubts and rigidness can be cautioned by taking things one step at a time.

The most important aspect to humanity is communication, but sometimes as humans we don’t think about what we say, what we do, and how it affects people. Thus, our universe brings energy of re-examination and the planet of communication begins to move backwards in time. This allows us to re-consider, re-think, re-connect, re-do, and sometimes re-pair what is, or could be, broken to re-visit and help us realize if we want closure or an opening.

The cantankerous period led by Mercury will begin to move backwards in time; beginning its ghost period on May 23, 2014 in Gemini through June 07, 2014 while reeving steam and preparing us for intensity as it continues to move backwards in time until June 25, 2014. Until this time there is little breathing room until it finally stations on July 6, 2014. Throughout this time things are considered and in silence and chaos we find our answers.

The Mercury retrograde ghost period can be as equally crucial as it intensifies. The ghost period will be affecting Gemini’s the most, bringing delays to many aspects of their lives. This will affect later degrees of Gemini. When mercury is retrograding in the signs of Gemini it creates an intellectual and passionate focus which causes us to soar into something new and unique. It’s also possible that you will want to escape to a place you may have never gone before. All I’s and T’s must be crossed, otherwise, the past will surely hunt us. There will be tendencies to feel confused, indecisive, unpredictable, frustrated and the communication may come across as aggressive towards blame but do not to take it personally. On July 01, 2014, Mercury will move into the sign of Cancer. With Mercury retrograde in Cancer, people with this sign prominent in their charts will be particularly predisposed to introspection. When mercury is retrograding in the signs of Cancer it creates psychological and emotional confusion with memory gaps. All of these problems usually arise because some critical piece of data, or element, has gone lost or skewed.

When Mercury is retrograde, everyone’s thinking is more meditative and we tend to think about issues and concerns that relate to the sign involved. In this period are all Mutable Signs (Gemini, Pisces, Virgo and Sagittarius) as well as Cancerians and those that have Cancer in their chart.

Artistic tendencies including artistry, music, talent, or design tend to be blocked by circumstances beyond one’s control. Legal matters will proceed sluggishly and unexpected problems tend to appear. Mercury retrograde tends to lack complexity of awareness and has no tolerance for detailed examination. All areas of communication are affected.

This period can also damage any professional transactions or legal issues; especially matters of infrastructure which may be blocked in some way. Writers, you may have a block of some kind and it’s time to take a break. Mercury is not just about oneself – in romance or personal relationships – please be careful around this time because of this aspect: people from our past could return. Make sure that we want them back in our lives (as the old saying goes, don’t look through rosy glasses-you might get a hangover). The last time mercury retrograde was in cancer was in 2007. Though there may have been a more recent time, this much intensity is similar the transit in 2007.

These tendencies derive from Vedic aspects of world view during the retrograde period.

Aries: Mercury retrograde could possibly bring back issues of the past relating to family or home. You may reconsider the past places you lived and how the effects are haunting you now or must be revisited.

Taurus: You may be reconsidering your work and may have issues regarding a business that you are in or things you are doing. There may be delay in receiving information or things you need to continue to do what you want to do in areas of creativity and customer service because of misunderstandings; or things could incredibly wrong because of communication.

Gemini: There could be issues around money; how you get your money, how it could affect travel, or things you want to do. There may be a delay in receiving or paying; things may get cut off or shut off because either the money is not received in time or you may have to cut it off because you have lost something where money is the focus.

Cancer: This retrograde is in your sign. It is fixated on looking at yourself – where you are and where you are going. Your thoughts may be confusing and you may change your mind often. There may be issues of how you were raised, your family members and how they supported you, and who you are becoming. Either way, you will be doing a lot of soul searching but be careful; you might have a tendency of being moody and may hurt people whom you don’t want to.

Leo: You may consider your karma; everything that is happening is all about what has happened, is about to happen, and what is going to happen. It’s about destiny – where karma and destiny is looking at who you represent, the structure of your life, and what is your destiny is. All of these areas are where the questions lie.

Virgo: You may connect with old friends or old friends may disappear. It is about collaboration and team building; you may find delays here or that you will find more support than you thought. Things may become very quiet or quite exciting. Be careful because misinterpretations could bring some people into your life you don’t want around and could represent problems with friends.

Libra: Your work may slow down or you may have issues with your home and where you live or want to move. It could be that you are forced to take some vacation time you don’t want to take or that the job you were starting or a project goes astray. Careful not to take it as a personal attack, it is not about you even though you may think so. It is also about what makes you feel secure.

Scorpio: This may seem confusing but if you are learning something you may find it confusing, if you are reading something it may be confusing; it is about what you want to learn, education, and religion. Sagittarius: Mercury retrograde may cause some trouble in areas where other people’s money is involved. What I mean by this is that if you are waiting for money (ie. a refund or a paycheck) you might find it is delayed or you may not get it at all. Your business may slow down or all of a sudden it becomes so busy that you don’t find out until later that you never got paid. Whatever the case is, support from other people may seem inconsistent.

Capricorn: You might have some issues with relationships. You may break off a relationship, you may have slowness in your relationship, you may not want one, but if you are in one things may seem a little weird.

Aquarius: Though you can naturally go through this, this time it may hit home whereas your work may slow down, you may be under scrutiny, you may decide to take a vacation, old customers may reappear, or you may lose them all together. Whatever the case may be, it is all revolving around what you are doing for work.

Pisces: It’s all quiet on the home front? It may be that you could be distant from your loved ones or the family life is a little bit slower. It may also mean that family life will get better after a period of time out. You may also introspect what family life is all about and misunderstandings could occur.

New Moon in Gemini

The new moon’s blanket of void brought in through Gemini will foster communication and the varieties of ways that it affects us. The beautiful void will bring pleasures in the way we communicate and how we communicate will be the key for new beginnings on May 28, 2013 in Gemini at 7 to 8 degrees depending on the orb. The void will begin at approximately 2:40pm EST and 11:40 am PST but the void is not emptiness, rather a call to start something new.

This moon will affect all early born Gemini’s, including those that are within 5 days of May 28, 2013. With the new beginnings, Mars and Jupiter are both now direct. Perhaps you have more energy than at the beginning of this year and it is possible that luck and money will also prosper. The New Moon motions a time of growth. There is a yearning to take forceful action because long-standing communication is no longer practical. Oh my! Oh my! For the first time in a long time a full moon is magnifying the skies and setting fear in minds of humanity. On Friday, June 13, 2014 at approximately 12:12 am EST, 9:12pm PST, the moon will move into the Sagittarius to form a Gemini/Sagittarius axis at about 22 degrees, depending upon the orb.

The last time there was a full moon on Friday the 13th was on March, 1998 and October, 2000. But is it really that horrifying? Friday the 13th has been a taboo that has been carried for generations. Usually, Friday the 13th brings many symptoms from fear, anxiety, and panic attacks. It dates back in Christianity as the 13th guest at the last supper was Judas who betrayed Jesus but also it was also on Friday that Adam and Eve were tempted. However, identified in a positive sense, is that there are 13 states of the afterlife in the Egyptian philosophies and 13 black cats are a symbolism of femininity.

But for many 13 has been a very lucky number; people have won lotteries, have had their business change, and even opened businesses during that day. Therefore, your perception and your thought will drive the root of existence and a full moon always brings endings to prepare for new beginnings.

Gracefully, this full moon is named the strawberry moon, or rather a rose moon. Contradiction it is. Ending June with a bang! This moon may be very welcoming for many. As Mars opposites Uranus just a day before, many of us will be very confused but it will defiantly allow many of us to look at circumstances in a very different manner. The void of the moon will be very welcoming following the intense 2 weeks after the full moon Friday, June 13, 2014. This new moon is full of sweet, tender compassion.

The new moon will void the sky on June 27, 2014 at 5 degrees in Cancer, at approximately 4:08am EST, and 1:08 PST depending upon the orb. This moon could bring out all the restudies left behind from the 26th, as well as all the aspects of the Grand Cardinal Cross. Although many people will claim the grand cardinal cross is over, each planet will get hit at least once in areas of their Cardinal signs starting April. Every emotion, conversation, as well tears and joy will revolve around the home and its responsibilities; including areas of comfort and family.

The emotional aspects of this moon could be like a dessert needing the rain from nowhere; there could be some needed peace. As we head into summer our skies will be lit up with our 3rd Super moon. In 2014 we will have five super moons. Any time the moon approaches close to the earth during its orbit is called a super moon; often it does not have to be full to be named the super moon. The January 1st and 30th moons were the closest to the orbit of the earth but they were new moons.

The moon will be so close to the earth that one can think they are able to touch it. It will arrive at the midnight hours on July 12 which will be July 13 for most people that are on 12:02 EST time and at 04:12 GMT. This magnificent event will sit pretty at 20 degrees in Capricorn depending on the orb

In the early historic days the only way to pathway periods were by the stages of the moon; each month signified the time to reap or to sow. To the Native Americans, Moons represented the skies and that is why some call it where Gods lives. The full moon in July represents what many natives call “Thunder Moon”, since July is a time when rains and downpours appear allowing Mother Nature to give her wrath to people who mistreat her. At the same time, being so merciful, she would provide support and fostering to drought and feeding her playground through surges of water. At the same time it is also referred to as the “Buck moon” when deer will grow their antlers. A perfect resemblance of the symbol for Capricorn.

Many people have asked the question how often they should have a reading done by a psychic or a tarot reader. In my opinion, an in depth reading should be done every moon cycle. Since every moon cycle represents a change, it not only affects our external forces but our internal forces as well.

Leo’s love their family and new things, and this placement comes with beautiful surprise for Leo’s. The void of moon will affect all early born Leos between 0-4 degrees depending upon the orb and it will void the sky at 6:42 pm EST and 3:42 PST on July 26, 2014.

The New Moon empowers many of us to look at life in a new way and allow the soothing influence and wisdom to create new beginnings. Super Moon

Full moon in Aquarius

Once again our skies will be filled with the luminosity of the magnificent super moon on August 10, 2014. In 2014 so far, there have been 3 super moons; two of them were super moons that were new moons and this summer there was one super moon on July 12/13, 2014 (read about it here). There will be two more, one on August 10 and another in September.

On August 10, 2014, the moon will be the closest to the earth at almost 90 degrees. Due to the pressure of the sun and the moon it would not surprise me if issues of tides and water overflow become newsworthy. However, along with the super moon, this moon sits gently in the house of Aquarius.

The full moon in Aquarius will be sitting pretty at 18 degrees, depending upon the orb, on the Leo-Aquarius axis. The brilliance of this moon can be seen as early as 2:10 EST. This will be the only full moon in Aquarius this year so embrace and breathe. The closest we came to this moon was in August of 2011 when there was also a full moon in Aquarius but at 20 degrees.

The August full moon is also known as Full Sturgeon Moon, named by the Native Americans. The Sturgeon moon is remarkably named after the sturgeon fish available around the Great Lakes. However, the tribes in the southern part of the Americas name it the Full Red Moon because of the heat which makes the moon appear red and hazy. In European nations it was the named Green corn moon due to the green leaves on the corn which protect the kernels of corn allowing them to be sweet and ripe.

When the Moon is full, the pressure of the Moon on one side of the earth and the Sun following creates an unstable draw. This pressure adds difficulties due to our anatomy which holds 80% water, therefore affecting humans as well as the earth. Again, I would not be surprised to hear of rivers overflowing, hurricanes, tornadoes, or anything that mixes with water, but there may even be chances of power failure due to Neptune influences and electrical outages with the surge of Aquarius.

Full moon energies will begin at least 5 to 7 days before it occurs. In this case it could be as early as August 2, 2014, during which time things could become very intense. Full moons are about endings, closing chapters in one’s life, and the final end. For every finale there surely will be a new start. Though it could be difficult, a change is needed for the better. This affect can be intensifying for those who have the sun, moon or any houses in Aquarius. People having a birthday February 09 or five days before or after will feel this energy like no other. The Virgo new moon on August 25, 2014 will certainly give the energy to people to finish their old projects and get back to work and school. This beautiful energy will void across the sky with a new moon at approximately 10:12am EST & 7:12 am PST at 2 degrees, depending upon the orb.

The new energy of Virgo will greatly impact all early born Virgo’s (born August 23-August 25) but it will also impact all Virgo’s depending upon the astrological constellation in an individual’s life. The last time the new moon was this close to the degree it is now was on August 28, 2011 (read about it here).

Full Moon in Pisces

On September 09, 2014, our sky will light up with a full moon in Pisces at 16 degrees, depending upon the orb, at approximately 9:38pm EST & 6:38pm PST. The closest we have come to this orb was on the 10th Anniversary of the World Trade Center attack.

Emotions were high and recalling the tributes to people who lost their lives in saving others; Pisces energy is just that, sacrifice at all cost for humanity and a flood of emotions. As it is stated in the Vedic Culture God was a Pisces and the Christianity symbol is a fish.

Violet and Amethyst is dedicated to Pisces and traditionally the September Full moon is often referred to as the Violet moon or Amethyst moon due to its hue. This is a perfect placement for beginning something new in the areas of spirituality and humanity. Therefore, bringing spiritual virtue is the theme of this full moon.

Once again the universe is asking us to slow down and reconsider everything in our lives as we transit through one of the most irritable emphases of Mercury retrograde.

This exceptional switch occurs when the deceptive planetary motion is created by the orbital rotation of the earth, with relativity to other planets in our solar system. Planets are never actually backward or stationary, they just seem that way, due to this ocular illusion.

Retrograde periods are often challenging, especially for mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces) as well as those other astrological signs that it is impacting. Each planet is illusory as it may be retrograde, except the Sun and Moon. Mercury, much like the winged messenger of the gods, comes in on feather-light wings and commands us to speak, create, think, consider, re-visit, re-consider, re-construct, re-pair, re-sign and most of all, contemplate.

Mercury retrograde forces us to reconsider our past; to leave the old situation behind or restart something that never had a closure. Whatever the case may be, it will be a difficult transit for sure. Mercury usually turns retrograde 3 times a year and each period is unique to the sign it falls on; but for sure it can be an eye opener for many. The very first Mercury was in the axis of Aquarius/Pisces, which really did not affect that many people except for those that were Aquarius/Pisces. But as always, it ruffled some feathers for mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces and Virgo). This, of course, is nothing since mutable signs are used to getting whacked in the head with Mercury; they just get right up.

However, the retrograde this summer affected more people and aggravated so many as it tugged on our hearts and what we said. The Gemini/Cancer retrograde caused many of us to get hurt and we did not realize what we said that caused people to leave us. The intense energy rippled through our basic core of home and communication as it impacted all Cancerians and mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces and Virgo). They are called mutable signs for a reason. Cancers love their home and there were many miscommunications which were unbelievably nerve racking.

Now, the third Mercury is slowly approaching and this Mercury will be shaking the grounds of Libra/Scorpio axis. Libra looks at things for balance and fair; it also emphasizes the legal system. The ruler of Scorpio is Pluto, the lord of the underworld and darkness. Basically, questioning what is hidden and what needed to be hidden in all fairness.

The journey will be its ghost period few days before the New moon in Libra, September 14, 2014. Though, many Liberians would consider this a process of new beginnings and wanting to move forward. But mercury will not let them until they finish old business. The Ghost period of Mercury is just as intense as the retrograde period since it brings things in a vacuum and begins to gather old garbage, baggage, and unfinished business until the 3rd of October, 2014.

On October 4, 2014, the intensity begins, especially with primary planets in Libra as well as mutable signs. Libra’s like things consistent and fair and this will be far from it. Be careful Libra’s if you don’t want the past to come to re-visit you then don’t stir the pot! The last time mercury was this close to Libra was during 2013 (Read about it here). The intense period will begin its journey backwards (ghost period) at 16 degrees in Libra and will be at its maximum intensity at 2 degrees in Scorpio on October 4, 2014.

This retrograde is places its wings on Scorpio and Libra. Perhaps the most beautiful aspect of the retrograde energy for Libra is that Venus, the planet of love, will enter Libra on September 29, 2014. Perhaps an old lover may come back into your life to help you bring closure or open a new way of looking at the relationship. But remember, nothing will be definite since the eclipse on October 8, 2014 will surely ask you to reconsider what needs to be paved.

Mercury retrograde is no stranger to Scorpio either. The last time Mercury retrograded was in October 2006, 2012, 2013, and now 2014. One can only imagine this needs to happen as Saturn is direct in Scorpio to make sure important lessons of the past are considered.

Messages, understanding, and consciousness are all within Mercury’s domain, as are rationality and intellectual, our manner of thinking, and how we create and express our thought processes. A mercurial nature brings to mind tension and motion. Rat-a-tat-tat — things happen reckless here. This Planet also stimulates us to move from one thing to the next and to get answers on both somatic and spiritual levels.

Further, Mercury’s energy is both responsive and perceptive. Mercury is about short trips. Family, friends, and transportation in general, are also within Mercury’s realm. Dialogue, writing, books, online communications and learning are all within Mercury’s domain. This Planet appeals to us to express ourselves often — and well.

When Mercury goes retrograde our communications will be challenged; it could even mean that we are giving diversified messages to people that we interact with. Because Mercury rules communication and transportation, these two areas are most influenced during a Mercury Retrograde. Dialogs might be more problematic, as overlapped signals and uncertain connotations cloud normally candid discussions. Still, with a little thoughtfulness and attention, you’ll get your point across.

Mercury retrograde tends to touch people contrarily though it usually tends to affect not only in the sign it places itself but always affects mutable signs directly. The journey will begin in the early signs of Libra then moves to Scorpio, where it sits for four weeks, and ends in the sign of Scorpio not leaving until November 10, 2014. Unless they are careful, Scorpios and Libras could be pounded. Because of these movements, those that are Libra and Scorpio, or those that have Libra/Scorpio anywhere in their chart including mutable signs, will surely be affected.

Please note that if you are not a Libra, Scorpio or Mutable sign you will not be affected. Mercury takes everyone as a hostage and vacuums them into a tail spin.

Here are the tendencies of how mercury will impact your life for 8 weeks. Remember, the eclipse and its combination will create a whole picture of the transition that will impact individuals.

Aries: There may be a lot to consider about whom you are and where you are going. Any changes that you may want to make as a spiritual or physical transformation may be delayed; including things that may be hidden from you especially in the area of other people’s money. So if you have a job offer make sure you have the money to move or make the transit possible and have a backup plan. And also remember that you will be affected by the eclipse on October 08, 2014. More information will be provided at the end of this month.

Taurus: Your vision of people in your life may be confusing at this time; you may also find that people who are working against you may not be easily accessible. Relationships in general may be problematic and communication with the people you care for will also cause issues. So watch what you say and do as there may be people who are working against you and you will never know who they are until this phase passes on November 10, 2014. Additionally, you will be affected by the eclipse on October 23, 2014. More information will be provided in the beginning of October 2014.

Gemini: Everyday life may be burdensome and people may not understand how you operate in areas of work. Your medicines or sickness may take a toll on you; or it may be that medicine all of a sudden starts working, but is it? You may feel that you don’t want to work and people may be problematic. If you have pets, be very careful as your pet may get sick or may need a lot of your attention. You may not be as intensely affected by the eclipse unless you have primary planets in Fixed and/or Cardinal signs.

Cancer: Your creativity may be down and your hobbies and personal relationships may be misdirected. Children may also be problematic (pets too) and you may not like your surroundings. Mercury is asking what you want to change and what message are you trying to convey. Are you too afraid to talk or apply, or if you apply without planning the projects will be left undone? The eclipse on October 08, 2014, will impact you. You are transforming yourself and have paid your karma. Were you fair to people? If not, Karma may bite.

Leo: You may become very melancholy about where you grew up and how it brings back the emotional pain of your childhood. You may try to reach out to your mother and perhaps what you are saying to her is more damaging than you meant it to be. You may also want to relocate and perhaps it may be hard to do. You too will be affected by the eclipse on October 23, 2014 so remember that for every stone you turn you will build something new for yourself. More information will come in the beginning of October for your own transformation and seeds that need to be planted for self-gratification.

Virgo: You may find if you are going to school, or learning something very confusing, what you are trying to articulate is coming out all wrong. Perhaps colleagues or people whom you go to school with may be too busy to talk with you or perhaps there may be a misunderstanding in projects all together. Be careful Virgo this is not a time to rush into anything. Yes you are misunderstood, and??

Libra: You may discover that you have over spent or the money is not coming in as fast as you want it to and your bills are piling up. You also find you are doing things out of spite. You might want to consider not gambling with your money during this retrograde. Keep a close watch on your credit report as something may be hidden from you. All Libras, and those that have primary planets in Libra, will be affected by this transit as well as the eclipse which will transform them into who they were; moving into a greater plane. It would not be surprising that someone from your past comes back into your life and you decide that enough is enough. The eclipse on October 8, 2014 will pave the way to your new tomorrow. Scorpio: Not only will this retrograde impact self-reflection, but the eclipse will make sure you change. Transformation is inevitable. If you want to lose weight or change your style you may be confused what to change. If you wanted to choose the way you are towards people this may be confusing too. Mercury retrograde asks the questions: who are you? Where are you going? What do you want to do? Do you like what you see? Do you like how people view you? What do you want to change? The eclipse on October 23, 2014 will change you, transform you, move you into a different plane and you will come out much more mature and defined. More information will be provided in the beginning of October 2014.

Sagittarius: People from your past will come knocking at your door and you may just want to be left alone. You may decide that you no longer want to be imprisoned in a lifestyle or a relationship. You want to break away; you may want your freedom. or you may go into seclusion. Whichever the case, you may not be happy and you just want the universe to bring you peace. Perhaps mercury will give you the peace you wanted. If you write in a journal have a look at October 2012 & 2013, how was it for you? You may not be affected by the eclipse in October unless you have primary planets in fixed and cardinal signs.

Capricorn: You may find that your projects and those that support you are not readily available as they may distance themselves from you. You also find that doing group activities or projects will also slow down. Anything that you want to do as a volunteer may flop or really motivate you to consider if this is a humanitarian act or are you doing it for selfish reasons? You too will be affected by the Eclipse on October 08, 2014. Perhaps you may change who you are or reserve your talents for those that appreciate you. No matter what the change is, it will be fair in every way.

Aquarius: You may have slowness in areas of financial and professional growth including difficulties in finding pleasures and appreciation from that which matter to you. You may not be as influential as you thought you would be and you may even have disagreements with women in areas of communication. You also will be transforming on October 23, 2014. What was once hidden from you may become so clear that it may trigger you to make some dramatic transformation that has left you paralyzed.

Pisces: Don’t get yourself involved in legal issues or contracts as they may be delayed or may need to be re-written or redirected. If you want to go away physically or psychologically this may be an issue also. Don’t bother right now to go back to school or learn a new trade as there will also be glitches; and if you try any different religious practices you may not get instant gratification or feel confused with the techniques required to be skilled. Unless you have personal planets in Fixed or Cardinal signs the impact of the eclipses may not be as badly felt by you as others.

Similarly, be prepared for delays while traveling. Remember, we can use this powerful energy in positive ways. Use this time to do activities that start with “re”: renew, repair, review, renegotiate, and research…Does your car need a repair? You might want to consider having it checked out before 14th otherwise anything could go wrong – and it will.

In general, Mercury rules philosophy and consciousness, conduct and circulating information, and all means of communication, trade and transportation. By extension, Mercury rules people who work in these areas; especially people who work with their observances or their intelligences: authors and speakers, critics and detractors, blabbermouths and spin doctors, tricksters and thieves.

People may be more confrontational, hesitant, and negative; hanging on to opposing views and often sarcastic to others. Sexual advances and sexually colored statements are more likely to be misinterpreted. The emotional influence of Scorpio sharpens our dispositions, but makes us less understanding. Secrets will come to light, often to the discomfort of those who are apprehensive. It is not a good time for surgery. If you are having a medical procedure, try to postpone it. Either do it before the 14th of September or do it after November 15, 2014.

All areas of communication are affected, especially in matters related to buried things, sexual encounters, zealous commitments, jealousy, examinations and the occult. Mercury retrograde gives escalation to individual misapprehensions; broken, disturbed, or delayed communications, dialogues and trade; malfunctions and failures with phones, computers, cars, buses, and trains. All of these problems usually arise because some fundamental piece of information, or component, has gone astray, or askew.

With Mercury retrograde beginning its motion in Libra, people with this sign prominent in their charts will be especially prone to reflection. There is little choice but to reassess one’s personal interpretations and feelings about life. There is, however, an opportunity to gain understanding into one’s own personality. Mercury retrograde in Libra brings obstructions connected with communication and relationships. Thoughts are not easily deciphered into money or other tangible rewards while Mercury is retrograde. Literary pursuits tend to be stymied in one way or another. This passage will continue until October 04, 2014, when it moves into Scorpio where people may be the opposite.

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio inclines to a harsh, disparaging tongue. People generally tend to be chivalrous, stubborn, impulsive and difficult to get along with. Mis-perception ascends over surreptitious matters that come to light and imprudent information stemming from those who cling stubbornly to their arrogance. Mysticism and the occult are in the news, scarily so!

The good things to do when Mercury is retrograde: meditate, contemplate, edit the book/poem/song/essay you’ve been writing, clean house, talk to your pet, listen to music, paint, and catch up on sleep!

Mercury is a very slow moving planet and it affects almost all planetary signs. It is my suggestion that you purchase a yellow candle and carve your name through to the wick. Anoint the candle with Inspiration oil or Eucalyptus oil and chant the psalm 70 every single night. This period will last for 8 weeks and it will be hard on all of us. This will allow pleasant communication as well as kindness in situations. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until November 10, 2014.

Remember that with all applications of psalms and mantras, achieving the desired result is dependent upon the quality of intention. When it comes to finding satisfying relationships, it is of the greatest importance to begin with a clear understanding of what your goal should be. The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. I have chosen a special mantra for you during this mercury retrograde:

“Om Budhaya Namaha”

(Om Bood-han-yah Nahm-ah-ha)

“Om and salutations to Buddha, presiding spirit of planet mercury”

This mantra is used to achieve mental clarity, to avoid and overcome misunderstandings and keep friendly communications flowing.

New Moon in Libra

The September new moon in Libra is a very welcoming change to many from the rat race that we have felt in the past. On September 24, 2014, the moon will void across our skies at approximately 2:14am EST and 11:14 pm PST. This will be the only relief that Cardinal signs could get until the Total Lunar Eclipse on October 08, 2014. This will be especially true for Libras who will be greatly impacted and they will be forced to change their outlook of life.

The energy is already slowing down Libras and Cardinal signs to reconsider everything. Mercury entered Libra through its Ghost period on the 14th of September and it is only intensifying as it goes retrograde on October 04, 2014.

Unlike any other time, Libra’s are now getting “ohh” and “ahh” moments as Venus has changed signs again from Virgo to Libra on September 22, 2014. Venus does its best in Libra and it is about beauty, relaxation, and finding relationships that are through harmony and understanding. But at the same time Mars is entering Sagittarius. When Mars moves there it is about the truth, clarity, and independent thinking. It is not the time to suffocate the relationship but rather making moves, as it should, through love, peace, and understanding. However, one of the most crucial aspects is that Saturn is now direct in Scorpio, which is ruled by Pluto, ruler of death and resurrection.

With all this mix if you don’t see that relationships have a more clear understanding this means you are holding on to something that may not be worthwhile to hold on to. This will be something that will be brought up during the eclipses. Mercury will make sure though you revisit old people, circumstances, and other aspects to make sure you are ready to accept reality as reality can often bite. The eclipse is setting the standard for any change.

This is perfect moon to deliberate, think out and start those missions and other things that are problematic to discuss. The New Moon signals a time of new initial stages. This is the time to turn to your heart and trust the process. It is the seed of the beginning lunar cycle. The chart of the New Moon is the key to influences in the coming lunar month. The New Moon is asking for a time to plant; formulate what our needs are according to the opportunities available (through Libra this month).

But this moon is not just an ordinary new moon; on September 25, 2014, many Hindus will be celebrating Navaratri. “Nav” means 9 and “rati” means nights. This celebration is usually celebrated twice a year but is more popular in the fall because it is the closest to Dwali which is known as the (festival of lights).

Navaratri is known as a festive time to pray and be thankful to the three most powerful deities. It is also known as the feminine power. It has been said in the old Vedic scriptures that the world is created by feminine power. That these forces consist to Justice (Sacrifice) all mighty power of Durga, Knowledge (Wisdom) Sarasvati and lastly Abundance (prosperity) Luxmi. Because these deities are so powerful, we must give thanks to them for their protection, knowledge, and abundance.

On September 25, 2014, there will be daily prayer and pooja of Godess Durga to push evil away from those that are honest. She is the destroyer of those who lie and she protects all women and children. She will do whatever that is necessary to bring our life into order. For liars she will make life difficult, those that harm women she will destroy them, one way or the other. She is also a mother to all and for any harm that she sees to children she will bring justice. She will be worshiped on September 25, 26, and 27.

On September 28, 2014, Luxmi, Goddess of prosperity and wealth, will be worshiped. She is known to bring wealth to those that earn an honest living and work hard without disturbance in their lives. She also blesses those that are humble and practice humility by giving to the poor; looking after those who have been wronged in areas of finance. Her pooja/ prayers will begin on September 28, 29, and 30.

The last deity, which is the last three days of Navratri, will be worshiped for Saraswati who blesses education, creativity, wisdom, and music. It is believed that all humans have been given a gift of knowledge, creativity, and music or arts. But we become lazy and she is the one that gives us enlightenment and perseverance to move forward. She will be worshiped on October 1, 2, and 3. The scripture also states that every human needs all three divine feminine aspects to survive as sacrifices are needed to be blessed during those days. The celebration of Navarati will end with the worship of Saraswati who has been known as a deity of wisdom, education, and creativity. It has been known in the early Gita that all humans need all three aspects of Devine blessings to be well rounded.

Hopefully through prayers and pooja the total Lunar Eclipse will not create too much negative impact, rather, make a path to positive new beginnings and forgiving endings. Nevertheless, harmony, understanding, and peace is the theme of this new moon.

With the moon in Libra, there is a need for a pleasant relationship with a loving partner to feel at armistice emotionally. There will be constant evaluation of emotions to seek just the right stability with others. A flare for exquisiteness and fine art arises and one can express these in a meaningful way. Fostering others by considering them objectively and seeing their attractive abilities is the theme for this new moon. You may expect your mother to be a model of beauty, compassion, charisma, and impartiality.

Libra Moon values sweet relationships. The energy is just right to please the people you feel close to, and to want to be appreciated with gentleness, likeable manner, music, and beautiful things. The Libra Moon needs close friendship, cooperation, or marriage to feel cherished and safe. A need for concord, congruence, and pleasant surroundings is a must. In emotional situations, the Libra Moon tends to act levelheaded and attempts to make rational decisions. Hating a fight, Libras even finesse their way out of confrontation. People will have strong sympathy to please others. This comes from the Libran search for harmony and balance, for the Libra nature emphasizes collaboration.

It’s a good time to form relationships of all nature such as—friendships, marriages, and business. The planet Venus that manifests the environment as a friendly, tolerant nature and a desire to beautify many things, rules Libra. It is an excellent time for artistic work as the beauty of Venus is combined with the rational ease of an air sign. Altogether it’s a lovely time for social gatherings, when the consciousness of self as expressed in the first six signs of the zodiac, becomes united with the awareness of the needs and desires of others.

Since the moon in Libra represents Charming, Attractive, Luxurious, and Fair-Minded Loving, it is my suggestion for us to remain balanced. This New moon is extraordinary to many signs. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until the next moon cycle. But remember, Mercury is in its Ghost period therefore, for this moon there will be two mantras to create peace and understanding.

This mantra produces the quality of friendship within oneself including others.

This is to bring peace during Mercury retrograde

The intention of this mantra is to smooth your path in life by helping you understand the lessons you have set for yourself; through karma the negativity will be surpassed. With every moon cycle, remember to cross out the old affirmation, even if there is a slightest change, and create new ones. The perfect number for aspiration is 10. This means to list 10 aspirations and recite them every night until the next moon cycle. Remember never to make the affirmations begin with “I balance”, they must be worded “I need balance in my life with friendship and love.”

Total Lunar Eclipse

Full Moon in Aries

Behold! The eclipse of the century! It is not often that an eclipse occurs on a blood moon. This eclipse will bring reminisce of the past as well as peeling the skin of Cardinal signs. This is nothing new to Aries; the Aries/Libra polarity began as far back as October 06, 1949 when it was at 13 degrees in Libra/Aries. Then it continued to transform both Aries and Libra until September 1950. Then again in March and April from 1950-1967. The cycle began again from 1968 at 13 degrees Aries/Libra polarity and ended in 1969. Both of these planets then disconnected again having their own individual eclipses until 1987 when it started its 13 degrees cycle again in October and this is where it stopped. But did it?

“The eclipse season is upon us and the first eclipse of October will be a lunar eclipse at 15 degrees of Aries, October 8 at 6:51 A.M., EST. Until then, the energy of this eclipse will increase before it actually occurs and events related to this eclipse will begin to happen.” - Leslie Hale

We are so close to the same degree and same effects of the eclipse that you might as well say we are back in 1995. On October 08, 1995 there was a lunar eclipse in the Aries/Libra polarity at 14 degrees and this year’s eclipse also falls on October 08, 2014 but at 15 degrees at the Libra/Aries axis. The universe now asks many of us what have we really learned in 19 years? And what do we still have to learn? Whatever the case may be this is a transformational eclipse for sure. The lamination of the Blood Moon and the Total Solar eclipse will be spectacular to see.

There will be so much activity going on in our atmosphere that every planetary phase will be significant. Our beautiful moon will begin its journey a couple of days before the eclipse by forming a Blood moon. The moon will turn reddish orange as it starts to become full. Many theorized that the Blood moon in April is preparing for sins to be forgiven and a second coming is to begin. However, this moon is as intense as the April 2014 moon thus signifying change of seasons. It is also known as a hunter’s moon; this is the time to gather food and meat for the long winter ahead.

“This will be a powerhouse eclipse as it sets off the Uranus-Pluto square, and conjuncts Uranus. Major events will occur in the world and in our personal lives.” – Leslie Hale

The penumbral eclipse will begin to touch the moon around 1:16 am EST, and 10:16 pm PST on the morning of October 08, 2014. The Partial Eclipse will turn the moon hue red around 2:15am EST. It will take a good 90 minutes before Total Lunar Eclipse begins at 2:25am am EST which brings the moon totally red. The maximum effect will last for 30 minutes at 3:55am EST to the west where moon will begin to set at 4:24am and within the hour it reverses to partial eclipse at 5:24 and sets at 6:34am EST

The last total lunar eclipse was on April 14, 2014 and it was a sight to see. The total lunar eclipse occurs when the sun is parallel to the earth shadow and voids out the moon whereas the shadow of the sun covers the moon completely. The beauty of this eclipse is the moon which will turn pitch red. But this time the entire North America will be able to view this eclipse in the late evening of the 7th and early morning of 8th as it makes its way through the Pacific Ocean, Australia and East Asia until the evening of 8th of October. No one will miss out on this eclipse unless it rains or the clouds are covering the sky. But surely it won’t be as visible unless there was a full moon.

The full moon brings intense endings and the eclipse usually brings transformations. Effects of this eclipse will vary from person to person depending upon their astrological chart. As I am not an astrologer, I would suggest you seek the counsel of my recommended astrologer Leslie Hale or my other recommended astrologers here. This eclipse has primary focus around cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Capricorn and Libra) and they will be emphasized first. Especially for those that have primary planets in Libra and Aries, this will be an intense time period.

Many people will feel the energy of the full moon as early as 5 days before (October 3, 2014) and the intense energy could cause disturbed sleep and energy. Never get a reading during the waxing period or even do anything spontaneous as your intent may be a little skewed. To receive the most positive effect of the full moon it pours down fantastic energy but it highly depends upon the mood of the person. It would not be surprising that emotions will be all over the place.

During this full moon stay as calm as possible and forgive others as they may not be in the same space as yourself and try to think positives as it will amplify them tremendously. Stay focused on whatever is happening around you and pay close attention to the physical and psychological world. Just as solar and lunar eclipses press the red button to reset our long term clock, the full moon does things similarly by resetting the clock for a shorter span. Just as the Native Americans named the October moon as the Harvest moon it also gives us an opportunity to harvest what we have planted. It is also a part of a rebirth when one season turns into another as well as a time of adjustment; it also is a relational moon named as the dying moon.

Even though the polarity of the lunar eclipse very unique to the one we felt in April of this year, it is as close as you can get to the 1995 eclipse. Where the sun in Libra wants balance and peace, but Aries wants to make things happen now. Libra is willing to wait for things to happen but worries it won’t work out well. Aries becomes impatient and wants it yesterday, not minding if it works out or not – at least we gave it a try. Unlike Libras who want to talk about things and be collaborative with others, Aries’ always take the very defensive position. This brings conflicts between “mine” (Aries) and “ours” (Libra).

This Libra-Aries full moon and Aries Eclipse basically is polarity of two equals. Libra’s motto is “I choose what is balanced” and Aries: “I want what I want and I will find force to get it”. Therefore, this eclipse questions what in their life is balance and what force or determination is needed to get it. The last eclipse in Aries was on April 14, 2014 but it impacted all those born in the early degrees of Aries. Now it is determined to change the state of those that are born April 1st through the 14th. However, this eclipse is very unique; it has Libra and Aries written all over it so it really does not matter what degree, only thing that matters is that you will transform in one way or the other.

Every experience during the eclipse is unique to a person’s circumstances. The closest impact is the challenges; look back to your circumstances April of 2005, March 2006, and October 2013 and finally look at April 2014. What changed? Did something end? Whether it is a job, relationship, or perhaps you got married or moved? The circumstances have surely made a transformable impact on all Aries and Libra.

Sometimes eclipses weld things back together all of a sudden. Open channels of communication can even bring new career paths as well as moves. Nevertheless, some of these, or all of these, can possibility occur. However, don’t expect instant changes as Mercury retrograde is slowing many cardinal signs, especially Libra, as well as fixed signs and Scorpio (Read more about it here).

Those that have Aries or Libra in their chart will either end relationships or begin new ones. This is a kind of crisis eclipse where relationships of all kinds will be tested, broken, or radically change over time. This eclipse, along with the one last April, is about getting rid of junk from the past; if it is on a personal note or personal fulfillment it does not matter if it is relationship centered. For Aries and Libra it is a time for change; to magnify what already here. Especially for those that were born in the first 15-20 days into the sign of Aries or Libra, watch your well being as you may get sick or feel lethargic. This eclipse questions what is it going to take to move forward.

The general tendencies will primarily focus around cardinal; therefore, this summary will emphasize those astrological signs that will be impacted first. However, the best general tendency is to combine mercury retrograde tendency with the eclipse and you will get a fuller picture of what is to come (read more about it here).

Aries: Here we go again, as if you have not gone through enough turbulence in your life. But perhaps this will bring you blessings. The transformational change is an absolute necessity in your life. You will be changing yourself, and the way you present yourself, to the world thus planting seeds for the next 6 months. This will be about your personal appearance and communication skills; the way we present ourselves to others and the impressions we make. It is also about how we defend ourselves in the environment where we live and our general outlook of life. It’s to question if being assertive and demanding helps or hinders you. But most of all this moon is about you shining and riding that energy to mark your presence in the universe.

Libra: Your life revolves around harmony across the board; whether it is a relationship or your success, whatever fosters you will be tested. There a greater tendency to become very irritable towards people because you want changes quickly. There is a possibility your career may change or your corporation may go through a sudden change and you must continue to remain flexible. There are things that will be completely out of your control and you will realize this it is about career reconstruction. But on the other hand, it could mean a promotion or marriage. Nevertheless, it will impact every relationship whether it is blessed or torn; this is about consideration and consequences of your actions from the past and present and what you will do to change the future. This is all about harvesting what you sow. But be aware that Mercury retrograde may slow you down to reap the rewards you want (read about it here) but not to worry, you have 6 months to prove your point.

Cancer: Karma is going to play an important role in your life. If you have been cordial to people or disconnected yourself from people, whatever the case may be, you will pay the consequences of your actions. You will be blessed for your kindness and regards to others thus helping you to continue fostering those relationships that gave mutual rapport. In addition, your career path may also change for the good or the bad. Usually Saturn (lord of difficult lessons) places itself here. This is all about your reputation, career success, attitudes, responsibility, and higher achievement. It is also about parents, especially the father figure, and how his role has impacted your life and your world view. This is time for you to shine in areas of career and development and it could happen all of a sudden. Don’t rush because you are planting for 6 months.

Capricorn: Your career is about to take off but on the other side you may have difficulties in areas of family and partnership. Every partnership, whether it is business or family, will be tested. It is time for you to be diligent and tolerant when dealing with people you love and people you work with. This eclipse will question who your family is, where you come from, how you will connect with the past, and may even give a bump to your financial life. However, if there are temperamental issues don’t be surprised if you are not disconnected by family members and co-workers who are not easily cooperative. Whatever the case, give yourself personal space and allow people in your life.

Mutable signs will have a double whammy; not only is mercury retrograding, which affects them three times a year (read about it here), but the eclipse always brings major changes in their lives as well

Gemini: Friends have always been important to you and you hate drama but drama is the name of the game here. The universe wants you to weed out friends that do not foster you and friendships which are broken. Your religious and metaphysical world will also be tested if there is faith in what the universe provides you. In every relationship, whether it is friendship or organization, there is a purpose. This eclipse tests that very purpose to see if your purpose is oriented with humanity instead of selfish ideals. It is about major changes in your life, your friends, and your wishes. Be good to your friends and support them as they will elevate you in areas which you have never known before.

Virgo: You have been going through so many changes in your career life; some people have gone through organization changes while others in areas of their business. The natural life or condition of your career and work life is going through a transformation. Every area of communication is tested as well as events around family and friends. Everyone, however, comes to you to seek counsel only because you are the most grounded personality. At the same time, it is about your transformation, other people’s money, personal growth, taxes, and inheritance; mostly about other people’s money and how it affects you. This will test the groundwork, if you are independent or dependent on other people’s money and your attitude when things ruffle your feathers. Finally, it is also time to clean up and remove clutter (stop hoarding), deal with banking, and get rid of things that collect dust.

Pisces: You may be the only person during this eclipse well put together financially while society’s view of finances and money continues to bring shivers. With your view remaining intact be careful with indulging your money and be prepared to start investing in anything that seems prosperous. This eclipse questions your values and self-worth but also what you possess in the material world. Perhaps you could invest in something so prosperous that it brings you fame and fortune or, if you risk it all, it could be gone in a second. However, if you do things correctly you will reap the rewards financially.

Sagittarius: You are about to take a leap in to the metaphysical world; your spiritual needs are being blessed. You will not question what is real anymore as you have already been aware of what is real by now. You now look at what is real and what is not and whatever is not you will finally leave behind such as liars and cheaters. But don’t be surprised that your significant other is going to go through some major changes and they will need your shoulder and hand to hold on to. You may become much more self-expressive and want to have fun but if you push it then it may cause unnecessary drama in your family life as well as partnerships. This eclipse is not about seriousness but having fun, so have fun with your children, go to a party, and get crazy with art.

Fixed signs, you have been through so much between the eclipses, Saturn, Mars, Uranus, Neptune, and you have been played by the universe like a puppet on a string. This is especially true for Scorpios who have risen through ashes to ashes, dust to dust. If it is any consolation, there will be no more eclipses in Scorpio for at least 6 years. Because now the eclipse will switch signs next year and won’t be hitting any fixed signs until 2016 so rest assured that it’s a sign of relief. Just hang on for 6 more months and get past the eclipse on October 23, 2014 and you will be home free, I promise.

Since the next eclipse on October 23, 2014 will be gracing 0 degrees Scorpio (October 23-31) general tendencies will be amplified.

Scorpio: Breathe slowly and easily there may be a job change or the condition of your work may change dramatically and it may even be a little unstable. This period also will trigger repairs in your home or the idea that you finally want to make the repairs. But repairs to your home may not be the only thing changing, perhaps you will get a haircut or perhaps you change the way you are presenting yourself (i.e. clothing, jewelry, or even hair). This eclipse is focused on your work, health, and service to others. You may get a new job, perhaps you might want to go on that diet, or that you want to work for human services, spend time with your pets and re-defining and refining ourselves in the world of occupation and feeling good. Be careful, too much of a good thing is not good either.

Taurus: You may decide to focus on a more spiritual path. Perhaps you might want to learn something new in regard to religion and be more in-tune with the universal energy or perhaps you want to teach others. You will be surly torn from one side to another and perhaps you could have job change or experience breakups and breaking of partnerships as these are the focus of the eclipse. But surely organizations that you may be involved with will make some transformations and this will greatly affect you. This is also a karma eclipse for you; things that were once hidden to you will become clearer and through this experience you will grow. Just be a little careful with your temper as it may be heated with emotions and confrontations.

Leo: You will constantly be tested in areas of your beliefs and spirituality; this is not a bad thing but rather, a good thing. This is to see how close you are to the universal energy. Biased, inconsistent, and hypocritical practices will leave your life and all the garbage will also be fixed but with great patience and tolerance. But remember dear Leo, Jupiter is brining you luck in all areas of your life including education, personal truth, and religious beliefs. Jupiter will bless all those that are true and bring wrath upon those that bring chaos and resistance in world. Jupiter will stay with your for a couple of years so enjoy with all your compassion and give with all your heart. Collaboration is the name of the game in this eclipse for you dear Leo.

Aquarius: We know you want success but it may not happen in your time frame only because there are way too many obstacles and baggage that you are carrying on your shoulders. Be flexible because appointments are bound to be cancelled or rescheduled and avoid anything that is too risky. This eclipse is the way you communicate with people and how you think and react to people; whatever you put out there will come back to you. Be open minded and open hearted. Do not take risks with your health and your money right now; it is about conservation and mindfulness. It’s time to finish projects or leave them for good because you will be busy listening to other people talk way too much.

The Aries moon is about making people aware of what is not stable and where people may feel they are giving more than they are receiving. With this awareness we can find out what is going to create stability in a relationship or money matters. There is the push of Libra energy which needs and yearns for a relationship and Aries energy which loves to be free; building a relationship fostered through freedom.

Moon-Pluto transits deal with obsessive feelings and desires, issues and Pluto rules the dark, hidden realm that exists in our subconscious mind. This moon is also known as the Harvest moon; connecting humans and earth to now harvest and pray. Now the Hunter’s moon in October focuses around connecting with animals or rather, totem. This conjunction will allow many to look at life differently every time the new moon approaches and allow us to look at the past and the future at the same time.

The Full moon Aries brings to us a perseverance of existence. Our purpose of this message will be focused around accommodating, extricating, and bringing out our very best. With it, bring out the best outcomes through aims and wishes being granted by the universal energies. But one thing it will bring is a path that must be followed and there is always fury when a person goes against the guidelines of the universe. If you follow the advice of the universe, and the path that the universe is trying to lead you on, then you will follow your spiritual path in connection with the Universe bringing with it a Divine light.

As unusual as it seems, this full moon is also known as the blood moon. It will cause many people to act out of character, including animals this time. This type of moon has been known to cause viciousness, suicides, and domestic disputes over things that may or may not exist. Because this moon focuses around the amulet stages, some of us may become very antagonistic in what we say or do.

This moon is so powerful that perhaps it may be a time for you to sit in quietness for 3 days, or even a week, just connecting with your spiritual guides and embracing the energy as a good omen rather than evil.

“Mercury is retrograde at 1 degree of Scorpio and this may delay events connected with this eclipse. I have seen events delayed by a few days or a few weeks when an eclipse falls on a retrograde Mercury. As Mercury is in its retrograde station events/situations will take on more intensity and depth of feeling with this eclipse and surface feelings will not suffice.” - Leslie Hale

This is a gift from the universe to try to resolve pain within every situation of relationships as lessons learned. Be careful that while you are contemplating your thoughts you don’t overdo eating, drinking, or any other obsessive tendencies.

The uniqueness of this full moon is at 15 degrees Aries/Libra, which means we are coming to some sort of a conclusion. This moon is in the house of relationships which means that a final resolution will be made either to move forwards with any one relationship (i.e. business friends, lovers, family etc.). There will be many messages from the universe so heed them all. Libras are also known as a focus of justice through consciousness and stability which means listen to your instinct. Aries is the power which is also known as a consciousness of something. Remember, in the spiritual world the Universe gave Ram divine will power as creator himself.

“Venus-Pluto transits are indicative of jealousy, obsessive feelings and the potential for selfishness, and lack of consideration for the emotional needs and feelings of others, or you may feel that you are being treated with less consideration than desirable. There can be attempts to remake or reform others, and it is important to remember that change begins within, and the only person it is actually possible to change is oneself. As this moon is a polar opposite, Libra requires synchronization in every aspect of relationships and Aries can be very impetuous. Though Aries really yearns for contentment and has to be the best at everything, Libra wants to be elite to others. Therefore, there are two mantras which must apply to bring the most benefit to this harmonious moon and the sun, as well as Mercury which will slow things down.

The magnificent event of the Partial Solar Eclipse will be a big sigh of relief for many fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus) especially Scorpio’s. Between the Saturn transits (since 2012. Read about it here), Mercury retrograde and the eclipses, it is enough to drive anyone bonkers. But it is quite apparent that the universe is aware that Scorpios can handle transformation, births, and rebirths like no other sign in the astrology.

Fortunately, for my beautiful Scorpio friends, this will be the last eclipse in your sign until 2022. After this eclipse you can relax for 10 years. As far as Saturn goes, it won’t be in your sign, at least not before 2031. The eclipses asked how you have transformed while Saturn asked what lessons you learned.

“October’s solar eclipse occurs at 0 Scorpio October 23, 2014 at 5:57 P.M., EST. Scorpio is the ruler of the eighth house of transformation of all types including death, other people’s money, sex, taxes and transformative rebirths. Situations that involve money and joint finances, investments, insurance and taxes of all types may come to light during this time. The eighth house is indicative of how we feel in a relationship, money and assets connected with our partner, and Venus relates to money and younger females which may become important over this eclipse.”- Leslie Hale

Whatever the case may be, rebirth and transformation is nothing new to Scorpios. They adjust quite well to changes. However, the Saturn transit will continue in Scorpios until the end of this year and retrograde, with its last swing in the summer and fall of 2015, when it moves into Sagittarius.

As 2014 is almost at a close this is the last eclipse of the year. The celestial energy has brought us so many guidelines and precautions; whether we have embraced them or caused chaos, it was our free will that directed us. The last two years have been explosive in areas of hidden secrets. Shocking deaths and unexpected re-births have jolted our lives forever and now it is time for a new path.

As we move through the fall of 2014, the skies will light up with a Partial Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. This magnificent event is part of the series of eclipses which have impacted fixed signs since 2012. The eclipse will occur within 0-1 degrees (depending upon the orb) in Scorpio.

The solar eclipse will begins on October 23, 2014 at approximately 5:51 pm EST, 2:52 pm PDT. Be on the lookout for the eclipse as the greatest shadow will be at 6:08pm EST, just before the sun sets. When the moon passes between the Earth and the sun and obscures the suns ray to the earth we see the eclipse, but it usually becomes partial when the moons shadow misses the earth and passes the North Pole.

This eclipse is very rare as, for the first time in many years; parts of central and western North Americas will see this eclipse. Enjoy it as it won’t return this close to North America until 2017.

But the most magnificent thing will be the new moon in Scorpio at approximately 5:57 pm EST, and 2:57 PST (depending upon the orb), so why do I say magnificent? Possibility because this type of eclipse has not happened in 19 years, being at the same degree and this eclipse is a big relief to many Scorpios. The 2.5 years of eclipses took many Scorpios and fixed signs by surprise. The first eclipse began its journey on November 13, 2012 (Read about it here) at which time a new journey for many was the closing of one door and opening of another.

Many of you may have lost your jobs, moved, broke up or found someone new or even started a new business or with a new company; whatever it was, it was transformational.

The effects of this eclipse can be felt as early as 5 days before (October 18, 2014). This is a new beginning for Scorpios and fixed signs. But Scorpios and Fixed signs will not be the only ones that will be affected by this eclipse. The energy of the eclipse will be felt by everyone; however, the intensity of the eclipse depends upon the house that the eclipse falls in an astrological chart.

During this eclipse many of you will be reinventing yourselves; bringing a new path to your lives through self-awareness and relationships. Scorpio is a sign of death, revival, and all relating to the edge of change. For the past 2 years Scorpios have been pulling their hair out while trying to stay calm. But now it is about questioning your needs, values, the types of people you want to network with, and the types of people who you want in your life. Especially with those that share the same morals.

Solar energy is external; it often puts us in a mode of looking at our affairs, especially when your image is visible. There is a great possibility of losing control and being overly emotional. But one of the positive things is that Venus is also joining Scorpio by making things very romantic, especially as the new moon always fosters new beginnings. Now it is time to bring to life what you may have lost in the last 2 years. It is time for Scorpios to hone in on their psychic antennas and prophesize the future. Next to Pisces, Scorpios can be the best psychic healers, mystics, and they collect their wisdom through behavioral patterns.

But do not underestimate Scorpio’s as they have a tendency to go through horrific lows and they rise like a Phoenix on every occasion. However, when Venus is in Scorpio love is never easy; sometimes it is even more painful. But to Scorpios, every pain is an experience and being that Scorpio is the most powerful sign in the Zodiac they accomplish everything they set out to do.

Because of the strength of this eclipse the effects could last for a couple of years rather than months. It is time to get rid of garbage that hinders you. Everything that is driven will multiply in strength. 48 to 72 hours before the eclipse, begin to write down your affirmations, concentrate, and meditate.

Besides the Solar eclipse, new moon, and Venus in Scorpio, the most auspicious time is also making its way into many Hindu communities. The celebration of Diwali is about wishes, healing, prosperity and most of all it is about the New Year and how Luxmi (Goddess of Prosperity) will light your life with blessing and joy.

Diwali celebration dates back to almost 30 AD. This auspicious event is celebrated by all Hindus. Diwali is known as a festival of lights or row of lights in celebration of victory of good over evil. It brings light to dark and understanding over obliviousness. This holiday happens on the first new moon after the fall equinox; bringing birth to a new year.

Some say that it is very similar to Christmas and New Year’s combined. Hindus will exchange gifts, light fireworks, and gather for dinner. But it is also a time to pay debts, to wipe the slate clean, get rid of the old cloths and purchase new. One of the most spiritual aspects of Diwali is that people get rid of clutter and clean their homes. They then decorate their homes with vivid designs and place Diva’s (oil bowls with wicks) to burn all night.

Diwali is also a celebration of Rama who went into exile for 14 years by force of his mother due to a crime he did not commit. Because he respected her so much he did not fight and went into the woods. Throughout his journey he battled the most notorious demon king Ravayarn who had kidnapped Rama’s wife, Sita. His victory brought the energy of Goddess Luxmi who, in turn, brought good fortune and prosperity to his people. There is an ancient prophesy that Goddess Luxmi does exist and that she only enters people’s homes which are clean, clutter free, and in which she has plenty of space to wonder and bless everything she touches.

On a personal note, my mother was born on Chopda Pujan. Depending upon the region of origin, different parts of India will conduct different pooja’s (religious rituals) but to all Luxmi Pooja is a must. However, in the Gujarati region every business man, including those that deal with money, brings their checkbook to zero by paying off all debts from the previous year and seek Luxmi’s blessings for the following financial year. Chopda Pujan is usually conducted during Diwali and during Luxmi Pooja. This is the main reason why she was named Dipotsavi which is a long name of Diwali. However, she would have never thought 27 years later on the same exact date, hour and time she would bring a daughter into her world and she would be named “Rutan” (pronunciation). Now I celebrate her birthday and I celebrate my birthday at the same time. I feel very blessed that this year Chopda Pujan is conducted by millions of people who will be asking Goddess Luxmi for her blessings for a prosperous New Year and new financial life.

Solar zing is negligible, thoughtful, careful, and spirited – reflected and articulated from within our life force. This eclipse is particularly autonomous and purpose oriented – our values and willpower can be boosted and deepened. Many people, for centuries, have idealized the Solar Eclipse as a bad sign which enhances the resonances of nature and, in fact, creates spectacles in the world. This 6-month period is a time to focus on other people’s money or common ventures of some sort. This will be a confusing month between what the truth is and what is behind the scenes. Mars transiting in Sagittarius as of October 18, 2014 will cause quick tempers and feelings of anxiousness, wanting to have things happen yesterday. All Scorpions have been going through very problematic passages, especially within the last 2 years. The tendency is a 6 month prediction of what is possible in one’s life, incorporating the lunar and solar eclipse transits. This eclipse has fixed signs written all over it and is highlighted for Scorpios for the next 6 months. Effects may appear as early as 90 days from now and climax in 120 days.

Fixed signs (Scorpio, Taurus, Leo and Aquarius), you have been through so much. But many of you are making a beautiful transit. Leo’s have beautiful Jupiter in their sign for 2 years; enjoy my friends enjoy. Saturn is about to leave Scorpio next year. Mars moves signs every month and half or so; it is not fixed. The eclipse will switch signs next year and won’t be hitting any fixed signs until 2016; especially not Scorpio, so rest assured that it’s a sign of relief. Just hang on for 6 more months; get past this eclipse and you will be home free, I assure you.

Scorpio: This eclipse is all about your life, your work, home, and your perception of society. Between now and 6 months from now there will be job changes, or instability in the workplace. You may question who you are, what it is that you are doing, and how you are reacting to others. You might get a job or lose weight and not only change your personality but change you who you are defining, re-defining, and what you are becoming. You are looking at, and realizing, what your contribution and potential to the world is; what you give and what you receive. Basically you will not question and apply certain things such as, who are you? What do you want to be? What do you feel internally? What do you feel externally? Are people in your life fostering you? Are you fostering them? Is this healthy as Phoenix rises? He burns as he crosses the flame and now your wings are made of leather. It is who you are, how you are going to get there, how much you have surrendered, and how much more you are willing to give. It may give you vigor to transform or understand what is not working as far as you, your image, your personality, your work, and your community. So, the next 6 months is about wiping the slate clean and remembering that decisions you now make will be forever as when Scorpio is cut, it is boldly cut and there is no turning back. Taurus: The next 6 months emphasize your partnerships; whether they are with the spiritual path or relationships in general. You will now question every relationship and commitment, if is in the area of business or even a personal relationship, but it is also that you may discover that people are not looking out for your best interest. Leo: What a wonderful eclipse you have. Not only is Jupiter (magnificent for money, wealth and luck) in your sign until 2015 but this eclipse will magnify you. You will feel that you need to make some personal developments in your life. It is about your family, harmony, and serenity in your life. Your own inner power will come from your home, family, and roots. You will find pleasure in creativity and ready to share love with love. However, at this time you might question your spirituality only because you will come to discover that what you once believed in was hypocritical. Yet with great patience and tolerance you will find your own personal truth. If are planning to go back to school or learn something new this is the ideal time for you and you will find luck or money, love, and inspiration as you too have transformed and matured in many different ways.

Aquarius: This eclipse can set you up very beautifully. You are being given an opportunity to get rid of baggage and sit where you are the most comfortable in areas of groups and professionals. You may be dealing with large corporations and group efforts and even through the glitches of obstacles, you are ready to converse with people. You will now watch what you say because your reputation must be viewed as stable and intelligent. The eclipse is a boomerang as what goes out will come back. Your money and your health will be under microscope. It could be that you will look for a position that will bring you the sense that you are helping people and give you the independence you desire. It could be in the areas of government, science, or technology. But be careful, Aquarius is known for their crazy ideas which may not go very well with others and this could cause delays. Sometimes when things get delayed you get ill then you may indulge and waste resources. This is not really a time to talk about small stuff; it is about important ideas, innovation, and humanity.

Cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn), the last few eclipse you have pushed, pulled, loved, hated, cried, and laughed. You have been a puppet in every sense. You had your high highs and your low low’s. You may have gone through break-ups, engagements, a loss of money, or found a new job. You have been reprimanded, yet have been admired. There has been nothing in between. It’s like you are a rubber band; how far can you stretch? Thus you are still going through changes but these transformative eclipses have molded you, matured you, and placed a lot of responsibility on your plate.

Aries: For the next 6 months you are being warned about your temper and that the way you approach your finances and how you deal with people will be greatly challenged in some way. Not only are you changing in the way you are presenting yourself to the world but expect some issues regarding joint finances or other people’s money. For you, there may some tendency to make sure your needs are met before others and you may do what you can to fight for it. You may become angry quickly and through your own impulses. Be careful not to become ill and any disputes with other people may not be won. Pay extra attention to your health and you must make a change to redefine who you are and your environment. Defiance, violence, anger, resentment, and distress will cause a lot of pain to you more than others. Remember the old saying; you reap what you sow.

Libra: This by far may be the most magnificent eclipse you will have. Not only are you going to have harmony in areas of money but also your relationships are being tested. Be careful though, you may become irritable when things don’t go your way or happen quickly enough. There will be many times people can be late but they are not quite like you. But when you don’t have to fuss about your money why worry? You might even get a promotion or you may find a new job. But if you don’t, remain flexible. In matters of the heart and relationships there may be issues that may not be easily solvable. You are about to change your future and plant the seeds of tomorrow but be careful; it won’t happen very quickly and there may be hidden agendas. It is now about your self-accountability and what role you played in break ups, misunderstandings, and how hard you worked to accomplish what you wanted and needed. But, most of all, how you live your life, financially and spiritually.

Cancer: Not only is karma impacting you socially but also in the area of relationships. This may be a time where your relationships may be tested. But at the same time your creativity will be at its all-time high. You could deal with some experiences emotionally which may enlighten you to take self-accountability and move forward in a very positive way. At the same time, the more kind and giving you are, the more support you will receive. You will not only shine in your career (it may not seem that way now) but you may even develop a relationship with your family and personal relationships that will foster love and care. If you don’t foster these relationships it will be important lessons that will be placed there as karma is not always nice; if don’t pay the price now it will impact your future. Your reputation is at stake for the next 6 months.

Capricorn: With your reputation and career taking off you may choose to neglect your old friends, partners, and family. It could be through death or rebirth that you generate new friends and partnerships. You are a very hard working individual but you also have a tendency to push people away from you. As you do so and you reach the stars you may have to convince certain people that you have not given up on them. If you meet new friends/ groups, you may have to convince them why you belong with them. The eclipse comes in two folds, rejection and acceptance. You may become aggravated quickly when people are not cooperative and you may also push them away.

Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Pisces and Sagittarius) things change so much for you and often times the universe slows you down. But as all these things are happening with other astrological signs you sometimes pull your own hair out trying to understand. Your mixed emotions transcend and you are harder on yourself than anyone else. But most of all you always aim to please with gratification. People are not on your side all of the time only because they don’t understand that you are not as intensely driven with emotions, but more concerned than any other sign in the zodiac. Always remember that people may not always say thank you or I love you; stability and consistency comes at a larger price. These 6 months will surely change who you are and what you are becoming.

Gemini: You may seem very work oriented and your expression will be more serious than ever before. Duties of your work will play a very important part of your life. Friends will continue to create drama in your life. You may be called upon to teach, write job instructions, or you may decide to write something. Virgo: Along with structural, career, organization, and business life you have been going through so many changes. When you adjust to it you will shine like no other. Don’t get bogged down with details, it will only slow you down and you must be able to balance. Pisces: Talk about being on top of the world – not only are you going to be financially put together, you will be calm while others are shivering. You may have a direct link to the metaphysical world more than you thought you had. Mystical objects, subjects, and conversations will have a very passionate attraction to you. Your visions will be very spiritual, religious and divine. You will come to realize that everything and everyone is interconnecting somehow, however you may be confused about where your life is going. There may be a tendency to look at life in an unrealistic or holistic way. Being a martyr or having a tendency toward self-indulgence may increase and this might be your way to withdraw from what is real or what is life. Don’t run away too far as your financial risk and fame could get the best of you if you are not careful. Remember, you reap what you sow.

Sagittarius: Taking a leap into the metaphysical world; spiritual needs are being blessed. We have been twisted, turned, probed, broken, and healed. We have cried, smiled, laughed and surprised by all the changes with the eclipses, retrograde, remarkable moons, and lunar energies. Thus, the Full moon in Taurus should be no surprise and there will be a jolt of frigid energy.

Things ended for many during the lunar eclipse (read about it here) and new seeds were planted during the solar eclipse (read about it here). Whatever the case may have been, change is overwhelming. Thus, the Taurus moon provides us with the energy to look at everything with a microscope.

The Taurus full moon will light the sky with its grace at 14 degrees Taurus (depending upon the orb) at approximately, 5:23 pm EST, 2:23 PST on November 6, 2014. The last time the moon came close to this degree was on November 05, 2006 when it was 13 degrees in Taurus and November 10, 2011 at 18 degrees (read about it here); both were full moons.

Even though many will say that mercury is direct, according to Vedic, Mercury retrograde is like a train taking almost 2 weeks to go backwards 2 weeks to station and 2 weeks to move forwards. Therefore we should be all clear to make decisions, travel and wrap up relationship issues by November 10, 2014 (read about it here).

Depending upon which hemisphere you live in, the full moon in November is called the Beaver moon; this is the time when the Beaver prepares to go under for the winter. In Chinese it is also known as the white moon. But if you are in the northern hemisphere it is also known as the Hunters moon, as the hunters gather the meat needed to survive through the winter months. Meanwhile, the southern hemisphere prepares their corn and calls it the Corn moon. No matter what name you want to give it, full moons are always a beautiful site to see.

New Moon in Sagittarius

Our skies will be once again be voided by the new moon on November 22, 2014. The new moon in Sagittarius at 0 degrees and 7 minutes (depending on the orb) will go void at approximately 7:32am EST, and 4:32 am PST.

The last time the moon was as close to this degree was in November 2003 when it was at 1 degree. Scorpio New moon was also at 1 degree. Sagittarius calls for the truth and Scorpio is governed by Pluto (something hidden). During the 1 degree moon all that was hidden came to light. J.P Morgan Bank was accused of foreign exchange fraud; an arrest warrant went out for Michael Jackson, the Iraq war was fully under way through the direction of George W. Bush, and finally after many years of battle, India and Pakistan announced their cease fire in the Kashmir region. Basically what was hidden came to light; what was fair came to settle.

The new moon will affect early degrees of Sagittarius, meaning November 21 through 25 as well as impact Sun signs in Sagittarius and progressed charts. But it could also affect mutable signs since Sagittarius is a mutable sign (Gemini, Virgo and Pisces). Full Moon in Gemini

A Sagittarius-Gemini full moon brings great inspiration on a higher plane. On December 06, 2014 we will have a full moon in Gemini at 14 degrees in Sagittarius-Axis, depending upon the orb. Gemini seeks to connect while Sagittarius seeks the reality and together a new opportunity to make peace and talking about whatever is on your mind. Every year around the same time we are given the opportunity to speak our minds with truth and integrity.

Depending upon what regions you reside in, the full moon’s name is different in each region. In the northern hemisphere all names of the moons are derived by Native Americans. The December moon is named Long night moon where all the nights seem so much longer and the day light is next to none due to the cold weather. In the Southern Hemisphere the weather is getting a little cooler but not cool enough to torture anything and it is named Strawberry Moon or Rose moon. But the colonial Americans named it Christmas moon as it is a month of celebration which includes Christmas.

The last time the moon was this degree, or close to it, was on December 05, 2006 when it was at 12 degrees. The moon will never be at 14 degrees but may come very close to 12 degrees again in 2025. While some will be able to remember in 2025, for others it will be just memories gone by.

This is the last full moon of 2014 so embrace it. As the end of the year brings many changes for many people, December 21, 2014 brings winter solstice. December 22, 2014 brings a new moon in Capricorn and on December 23, 2014 there is a major change for Sagittarius as Saturn, the God of important and difficult lessons, will bring transformation for Sagittarius.

Breathe as much as possible and enjoy the rest of 2014 as 2015 will bring many changes. In 2015 we will once again have super moons – 6 to be exact. But also 4 eclipses transforming Pisces, Libra, Virgo and Aries. I look at it this way, Pisces focuses on Spirituality. Libra focuses on Justice. Virgo focuses on work and compassion. Aries focuses on drive and fire. 2015 will be a roller coaster for many as Pisces is somewhere in everyone’s chart.

Super moons are quite unusual though as some super moons are actually full moons and others are new moons; in 2015 there will be a little bit of both. The first super new moon will be on January 20, 2015 which will be at 0 degrees Aquarius. I don’t know if you noticed or not but in October 2014 we had a New moon at 0 degrees in Scorpio, then a new moon at 0 degrees Sagittarius. A new moon will come at a 0 degrees in Capricorn and on January 20, 2015 there will be a 0 degrees Aquarius moon – this will be a pattern for a while. Then wham, here we go, on February 18, 2015 there is another new moon in Aquarius which has not happened for a long time. Two new moons in the same sign; this will be very interesting.

During the spring and summer we will be dealing with both eclipses and retrogrades, but in the fall of 2015 another super moon will be in Pisces where everyone will be affected on August 29, 2015. Then another full moon in Aries in September, and a super moon at that, followed by another supermoon on October 27, 2015 in Taurus. Of the entire moon cycle in 2015 the most vivid and proclaimed one will be on September 28, 2015.

Fortunately, for us there will be only 4 eclipses in 2015 – in the spring and autumn. These will focus mainly on Cardinal and mutable signs. They will begin with Pisces and end with Aries.

But be prepared, there are 3 retrogrades, the first of which will hold up 90 days in starting Mid-January until Mid-February 2015. The second retrograde will start the summer, beginning in May and continue until Mid-June 2015. The last retrograde will reverse backwards again beginning in autumn, from the beginning of September until Mid-October 2015. We will be spared for Thanksgiving and Christmas. But slowdowns will be possible.

This full moon greatly impacts Gemini’s, those that have Gemini in their chart, as well as mutable signs. I would not be surprised if all Air signs (Gemini, Libra or Aquarius) might be affected as well. I have seen in my years of giving advice that when the full moon moves into a specific sign almost all those that are symbolist of those signs are often affected.

The full Moon calls to the opportunities. It is time to travel in the dream time; heeding to your intuition and seeking answers deep within your unconscious. Release your hold on the routine now; don’t try to have it all make sense. Keep a dream journal and be open to moon murmurs. Saturn Return in Sagittarius

There has been so much talk about Saturn, Neptune, Eclipses, and Moon and Sun transits and inclinations that it is enough to confuse anyone. Nevertheless, here is another article about Saturn. I hope that this will shed some light on the subject, perhaps making it easier to interpret and understand.

Depending upon which astrology is preferred, I am going to focus primarily on Vedic and Western, though there will be some inferences in areas of progressive astrology; I will try to keep it simple and easily understood.

Saturn has many names. Most western astrology derives from Roman mythology and most of the planets are named after their Gods. The Greeks however, believed every planet is a star and every star cycles around the moon and sun; they can also go backwards. However, little did the Romans and Greeks know that Hindu astrologers were already looking at Saturn long before it became clear that Saturn destroys and Saturn creates.

In Vedic astrology and readings Shani Dev (Saturn) is determined at the time of birth and every human on this earth will feel its affect. Shani is an avatar in the Hindu Ideology. When you upset Shani he brings sadness, loss, grief, and total displeasure of life. But when you do as Shani wants you to do he will brings pure pleasure and showers you with gifts and glory. Shani is a very slow moving planet and Hindu ideology says that Shani mahadasha can last up to 19 years in a person’s life as it moves through each of the houses, anywhere from 2.5 years to 7 years depending upon how many lessons have to be learned.

Whereas, Western astrology mentions that it takes about 30 years for Saturn to move near the sun and moves through each sign for about 2.5 years. During the 2.5 years it restructures everyone’s life, like a hurricane takes it away, which can cause losses, poverty, delays; it can even bring sudden deaths.

In Vedic philosophies, there is an old rule that difficult lessons have to be learned by everyone in this lifetime. For example, if a person has Saturn in their 10th house (Family and structure) they may find those areas have the most difficult lessons to learn where family and their home is. If by any chance Saturn is in their 9th house, it means that they will have difficulties in areas of higher education or education in general. If it lies in the 12th house depending upon which sign is in their 12th house it bring on the characteristics of those that relate to it.

A perfect example would be a person with Saturn in their 4th house which is in Aquarius and it may be retrograding but the funny thing about it is that some may say this person has a quirky family who are fun loving and yet he worries about them a lot. The 4th house is the family. Aquarius is usually a little out there and it is a planet of worries but this person does not have to worry since it is retrograding or maybe they do? But it does not matter, the point was that to be able to understand Saturn at its best is to know where Saturn is positioned in an individual chart or vice versa.

How does Saturn affect one’s life? Though I can’t not really relate to anyone in their lives as each experience is individual, I can only express what I felt when Saturn was transiting in my houses.

When Saturn began its journey through Scorpio in 1982, I was a junior in High School. Working at McDonalds and chasing after unavailable people. I felt as though I was in Neptune heaven. By the time it switched signs to Libra I was working in an office environment making $3.25 per hour (not bad in the 80’s for a 16 year old; McDonalds only gave me $1.50 per hour. It moved back into Scorpio in 1983 and stayed there until 1985. During the two years, I graduated from High School and my family moved from Michigan to Florida. A very important person in my life died and my family was separated between states. After Saturn completely left, my mother’s business boomed, profits went up 200%, and I had a new person in my life. I was working part time for a municipal city and then moved up to stocks and bonds with my salary jumping from $5.50 per hour to $16.00 per hour in a matter of 2 years. Saturn left many gifts at my door during my first transit. It helped me create a reputation, assisted me into moving into the career field, I was engaged to be married in 1987, and I had the support of my family. Unfortunately, Saturn said to me that same year he was not the right one and I did not marry. He passed away in 2000.

But Saturn always comes around and finishes what it began. If your career or relationship is not the right one Saturn will surely wipe it away and bring you what is meant to be and he never gives warning. Just like in the 80’s for me, Saturn energy sometimes catches us by surprise. Often Saturn effects can happen many months prior to the actual transit. For me, it began 9 months before the transit. I met someone that just so happened to have the same birthday as the one I was engaged to, including the year. When Saturn returned back into Scorpio in 2012, it was announced in September that the company I was working for was going to close their doors for good in November 2012. I decided to take a break from it all and moved to PA with my partner and never had thought I would do the things I have done. I moved from one state to another like in the 80’s, closer to where I used to be. I got engaged and later married (something that fell through in the 80’s) and we will celebrate our one year anniversary almost 35 days from when Saturn changes signs. I now wait for my seeds to flourish and see what Saturn has left at my front door.

Remember that just like mercury, Saturn holds everyone prisoner. It just depends upon the sign where Saturn falls. Saturn will enter Sagittarius on December 23, 2014 at 4 degrees, however in the Vedic Philosophies (because their starting point is based on the moon, not the sun) it is moving from Libra and entering Scorpio but it already began on November 2, 2014.

The last time Saturn was in Sagittarius was in 1985 and the transit ended in 1988. This transit will retrograde and return back to direct between now and 2018. It will not come back to this degree until well beyond 2030. Some of us will be seniors and may not be able to write about it and a new era will be created by that time.

What is Saturn after all? Everyone is scared when Saturn enters ones sign. Saturn normally symbolizes things in your life that have obstacles and are not stable. If you are young you may have more than one time when Saturn comes around. For me it was twice yet some people have it more than 2 times depending on their age. Saturn causes frustration, responsibilities, and a feeling of being weighed down. Though one does not often know what is making someone feel this way, until changes are made there is nothing clear about what needs to be changed, only that if it is not feasible it will leave. Saturn assists us in creating a life that is more sustainable and makes your dreams and hopes a reality. Looking at your ideas to make sure they are concrete and honest.

Saturn is a teacher and a punishes. Saturn teaches us self-accountability, self-reliance, and independence while maturing us to be better individuals so that we can only rely on ourselves. We have to learn to live in the here and now and not be bogged down with our past as the past is history and we have to become better people through tough times. This can be quite difficult for many as it can cause depression, feeling self-suppressed, hopeless, and when things hit they hit hard. While it never takes us below what we can handle, it causes us to slow down and think about the risks we took and those we are about to take.

Sagittarius often represents truth, spirituality, travel, education and legal matters. People with Sagittarius in their chart are not likely to want to get married but when they do they are loyal as long as the relationship is fun. But when Saturn enters Sagittarius wherever there is Sagittarius placement there is going to be an inelastic approach to religion and relationships. Relationships of all kinds will be tested to see if they are meant be or have structure and things that were once hidden will come clearer. For some people truth may be difficult because it will eventually cause distancing, break-ups, and divorces.

One of the most important sectors which will transform is Higher Education. When Saturn was in Sagittarius last was in the years of 1985 through 1988. Sagittarius focuses on religion, education, and the law. In 1985 the U.S Supreme court ruled that silent prayer lead by a teacher in public schools violated a student’s right to the First Amendment. Another one of the biggest marked changes was The University of Phoenix which created their first on-line campus, offering degree programs, becoming the largest private University in the U.S. Since then many for-profit institutions have felt the havoc of the Department of Education looking into their career placement, marketing practices, and student federal funding. Perhaps Saturn will make it so that higher education has one standard by making for-profit and traditional institutions equally accountable for placement? This is just one of the changes that Saturn in Sagittarius brings; truth in education and truth in justice.

My prediction is that there will be less need for traditional schools as all schools will be equally accountable for their own business duties. I also do believe that traditional schools will gear more towards technical schools and placement will boom as they will become para professionals in their degrees. Many traditional schools are already doing that but the appeal of quick, ready careers will create a boom in the educational industry.

Sagittarius is also about making money honestly, if we are to reverse back even further, the first stock market crash may have been in 1929. Thousands of people lost money and the economy crashed hard. Almost 29 years later it again crashed, could it be that within 2.5 years it may happen again? But remember, there are more rules and policies that won’t allow the crash to be as punitive or would it?

Depending upon where Sagittarius is in your natal, progressed or even Vedic chart different affects will amplify or create intensity.

I will begin with Mutable signs as they are always grounded and always changeable.

Sagittarius: It’s time for Saturn to strip away things that are no longer of benefit to you. The last 2 to 3 years you have been planting these seeds but now it’s time to let them grow. Gemini: You should be feeling a little better. Saturn is questioning your commitment to a relationship. Whatever the case will be you will feel O.K, whether you are in one or not. Every challenge during the Saturn phase will make you uniquely able to share your experiences which will be full of wisdom and poise. This will in fact ground you and establish you.

Virgo: The last two years were not bad, actually allowing you to talk and express your feelings. The next 3-5 years may be a little tough. It may even cramp your style by using the power of compromise and collaboration but a mother or a motherly figure could cause some problems for you. On the positive side you could purchase a home or become a parent (Watch out Virgo Ladies). You may have to balance your personal life with your career life to bring more structure to your entire life. Make sure you take time out for yourself and decompress every now and then.

Pisces: You will love the next 3 years! As challenging as it may be with hard work, you will receive opportunities of a lifetime. You are ready to be your own leader; you may decide not to work for yourself but work for others to help them. Cardinal signs have been hit by many aspects in 2013 and 2014 but Saturn could also impact you:

Cancer: Your health and romance may be on the top of your list during Saturn. You will take better care of yourself in areas of health and habits. Libra: All I can say is oh what a relief it is. You may decide to change a career or you may be released of your duty. If money was a problem for you in 2012-14, this is no longer one. Over the next 2.5 to 3 years you will boost your communication skills and look for a larger role in a larger company, or you may lead. With your charisma you could even form bonds with people who have the same ideas as you do and your circle of friends could get larger. Instead of eating Tums, you might be eating caviar and chocolates.

Capricorn: Saturn in Scorpio was not nice to you for the past 2.5 years. Saturn could have slapped you, hurt you, and put you in overdrive. Now it’s time to heal, forgive, reflect, consider, and retreat. Your artistry is absolutely magnificent; you might even get a chance to show it off. Forgiving and moving on is not easy but you might reach deep within your soul to practice spiritual healing for yourself.

Aries: You may have had 5 years of hell in areas of relationships. Beginning in October 2009 when it all began, your areas of commitments and interpersonal relationships have been tested. It bought you pleasure and it bought you pain. Of the people whom you met during those years, those that were meant to be in your life stayed and those that were not left. The next 3 years will not be so difficult for you. You may decide you want to go back to school or go into religious education. You may even go into a whole new profession which could be a leadership style. You may also travel, see different cultures, and breathe as this is nearly the end of a difficult cycle.

Fixed signs were affected by the Saturn in Scorpio and mainly lessons are learned and it’s time to mature.
Scorpio: Breathe, you just ran for the last 3 years. You have cried, been depressed and may have had plenty of time to yourself to self-reflect. The next 3 years are about your finances, career, and the type of work you do. Not only have you worked on yourself but now it’s time to show your true colors. Saturn will assist you in your organization skills, work habits, your principles and ethics, and your earnings will show this. The time wasted on non-purposeful tasks in your work will go if they do not show your true colors. You will no longer tolerate anyone not paying you what you are worth. Or take a job just to take it. Are you ready to soar?

Aquarius: It has been so difficult for you to move up the ladder without restrictions, you may have lost money in ventures, or you may have lost clients because of your health and somehow you had no choice to but to rebuild yourself. You are now ready to be a part of a subculture that cultivates your networking, friends, and associations. It’s time to join a humanitarian cause. If you are into technology I would not be surprised if you met people with wealth and stature.

Taurus: You may become very busy and overwhelmed to the point that you may not have time for personal relationships. But the next 3 years are all about giving your loved one all your time, and the energy spent will be well spent. Be careful with money as you may not have enough or if you have joint money things nay not go well. Be yourself and you will see how things are going to be with you. Don’t be surprised if there is an unexpected pregnancy or a new home.

Leo: What can I say, if you want love here it is but are you going to take love very seriously now? Your career will also soar and your talents will show right through. You may have had difficulties in areas of family for the past two years, especially with a mother or guardian. And perhaps you may have felt restricted in your living environment. Now you will feel relief and you are ready to have some fun.

When Saturn hits someone’s natal planet its best to relax through the energy; imagine Saturn like a resistance belt, the more you push the harder it is. Be patient and be more careful not to overreact. Remember, for every action there is reaction; instead of reacting, meditate and use your free will to attract positive light.

In personal relationships illusion will be stripped away letting us see people as they are; this will either bring relationships closer or break them for good.
